Heron Glen Golf Course

When I played there it was a wet sloppy day. It wasn't too bad, but the weather just held out enough to get out. So with that being said I was able to snag a hot deal for a morning tea time. I ended up going off by myself for the first few holes and then got linked with another guy. With the weather conditions there was nobody really out there. But the course was even better than when I played it a year and a half ago. Everything is just so fluch and cut perfect every sand trap was raked. Definitely one of the best public courses you can play in Central Jersey. Even if you pay full price it's so worth it.

Title sums it up. I found out afterward the round that the group ahead was taking multiple extra shots - my recommendation would be onsite course rangers to keep the play moving.

Five hours is way, way too long ...

Heron Glen continues to be a really good golf course. Conditions are always solid. Fairways, greens and the rough, are generally in good shape. The more courses I play in the area, the more I appreciate HG. Plus, I always find the people who work here very friendly!

We picked this course because it is rated number one in NJ for public courses, and it didn’t disappoint. For a $75 round i don’t have one complaint

I live about 40 minutes away, but it’s well worth the drive. The course is always well kept, pricing is reasonable, pace of play is good and the layout is great.

Tee boxes a little ratty. Fairways in spots appear to have patchy fungus growing....hole 10 for example. Greens aerated a few weeks back but were in good shape.

Carts have GPS on them. Cartgirl available selling beer, snacks. Restaurant inside closes at 4pm on Sunday, bar seemed to be open. Driving range available.

Was a great course, really enjoyed it. Staff was friendly and the deal was great. Quite a few blind holes where the people behind us hit into us numerous times, but great besides that. Recommended

The course was beat up. The fairways weren’t in the best shape. The greens were recently aerated and had not completely healed especially on the back 9. The ice policy is crazy! Just give us ice.

Great track with a lot of shot placement requirement. If you are not careful it's like a day at the beach if you get my drift.

I’ve played here before when the course was in tiptop shape, that is not how it currently is at all. The tee boxes were the worst I’ve ever seen them and so was the range. Lots of weed patches in some of the fairways and a fair amount of dead patches. Greens were in pretty good shape but needed to be rolled. I like this place a lot so hopefully they get it together because yesterday was disappointing.
