Great course but in bad shape
This is a fantastic course, but it was extremely wet, and there wasn’t even much rain recently. There is a lot of neighborhood construction around the front nine that made some of the area not nearly as scenic, and almost all of the fairways were too sloppy to hit from comfortably. One of my tee shots actually stuck half into the fairway it was so wet. But overall it is a great course and great facility, but just not in great shape in late March.
Course was borderline unplayable
Unfortunately, the course had received several inches of rain approximately two days before we played. The front nine was almost unplayable, couldn’t find a dry spot anywhere in the fairway. Also, it was my first time playing on Zoysia grass fairways. Have to say, not a big fan. I understand it has some value but didn’t care for the color or the dormant nature. I have been told it is much better in mid summer. The good news, the back nine seem to be drier and more playable. Because of the heavy rains, it was cartpath only. This always kills both pace of play and level of enjoyment of a golf course. However, we both certainly understood why.
Best bang for your buck
The 2 fuzzy courses are extremely fun and well maintained. The champions course is newer and more forgiving. Wide open fairways but challenging layouts. This is a very scoreable and extremely fun course! Would recommend making the drive from Louisville if you are in the area and wanting to play public.
Thank you for reviewing us, We see you rated the course 3-stars and are interested in learning what we can do to improve before your next round. Feel free to comment on this review or reach out to the team in the golf shop. We always appreciate the feedback. Thank you for playing Champions Pointe Golf Club, and we hope to see you again soon.
Love this course
First, I am a member at this course, which also includes Covered Bridge.
I love this course.and wish it was a little closer. The course is always in excellent shape, well-groomed and challenging enough. Probably the most talked about hole is the painful 16. When I get a par, it’s like getting a birdie.
Lots of fun holes. My recommendation to travelers is to play Covered Bridge the first day, Champions the second day.
Great Course.
I play this course a lot. It is always in immaculate condition, with consistent greens. It’s challenging, but very playable for men and women. Save your best shots for. #16. — you’ll need them. Staff is incredibly friendly. Food is good.
Great course, but never made it to the course.
Due to COVID19 I had to get tested Saturday morning. When I tried to cancel my round thru golfnow, they would not allow it. Not Champions Pointe fault, but I will not use golfnow in the future.

Always a good day
As always the course played well. It is an enjoyable course.
Fairways are Zoyza, Fast Greens, roughs are fair
What can I say, the title says it all? If you are up for playing on a beautiful course surrounded by pristine farmland, this course for you. Champions Point was built in 2007 designed with an old-style tradition in the since that there are no fairways with houses on both sides. The course is its own island. If you are budget mined Golf Now is the perfect venue to get a great price. I reserved the tee times 6 days in advance on Golf Now for 4 players and the cost was a total of $144.00. (36per player). The club members and staff could not have been anymore accommodating. I felt as if I was a member of the course. Thank you Fuzzy Zoeller for building a great golf course for all to enjoy!!!!
Great Condition
This course is always in great shape. There are just some very difficult holes, especially on that back nine.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. Your feedback about the course is important to us. We are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing to recover the fairways and greens. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game, and we will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Champions Pointe Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
