Tough course! But fun.
Lots of opportunities to end up with the ball way above or below your feet. Makes for a serious test of your skills. Course was in really good shape though! It was packed but also a holiday weekend, so it was expected.
Always Great
I play this course a lot. Knowing how courses have been struggling in this area due to so much rain, it was good. #1 and #3 fairways were not as pristine as usual, but still playable.
Conditions
Played this course several times last year and it was an excellent condition. The conditions were sublime today. The greens were burnt iandthe fairways had bare areas. Needs maintenance. No excuse this early in the Spring. What will happen in the summer.
Long day
Cart path only. Played as a single behind 12 old guys that didn't even think about letting me play through. Almost a 5 hour round. Guy in light blue shirt in last group seemed to think he was playing on the PGA tour except he was playing very slow and he sucked.
One of my favorites
Have played this course lots. Always in great shape. While a little more challenging than Covered Bridge, it doesn’t seem to get quite as much play and greens are so much nicer. (For those who are easily distracted, there is significant home building going on in the area at this time, but it usually involves only 1 or 2 holes.)
Poor customer service
Booked through golf now, rained started coming down. Cart died. Waited 30 minutes for cart. Guy in clubhouse refused to do anything regarding letting us come back next day to finish playing 14 holes, and Golf
Now wouldn’t respond. Very disappointed in both.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced at the course. Our goal is to keep the pace of play running smoothly and to never have it too backed up. As far as the raincheck goes, sounds like you prepaid for a Hot Deal on GolfNow. When this is the case, no money is paid to the pro-shop so there is no money that is owed back from the course. You may have booked other course times through GolfNow and that is why you were able to obtain a raincheck. If you call GolfNow, they would be happy to rectify the situation. We hope this clears any confusion up and we hope you give us another try in the future.
Nice course
Great course only reason it was a deal was because the greens had been aerated wish I would’ve known before hand.
Great course close to Louisville.
2 more weeks or so and the greens are going to be looking great, fairways too. Little gem in Southern Indiana.
Great course but in bad shape
This is a fantastic course, but it was extremely wet, and there wasn’t even much rain recently. There is a lot of neighborhood construction around the front nine that made some of the area not nearly as scenic, and almost all of the fairways were too sloppy to hit from comfortably. One of my tee shots actually stuck half into the fairway it was so wet. But overall it is a great course and great facility, but just not in great shape in late March.
Course was borderline unplayable
Unfortunately, the course had received several inches of rain approximately two days before we played. The front nine was almost unplayable, couldn’t find a dry spot anywhere in the fairway. Also, it was my first time playing on Zoysia grass fairways. Have to say, not a big fan. I understand it has some value but didn’t care for the color or the dormant nature. I have been told it is much better in mid summer. The good news, the back nine seem to be drier and more playable. Because of the heavy rains, it was cartpath only. This always kills both pace of play and level of enjoyment of a golf course. However, we both certainly understood why.
