About
Located in the small community of Wellington, Wellington National Golf Club (previously known as Binks Forest Golf Club) offers a tranquil forest setting that is more reminiscent of a North Carolina course than a Florida course. After opening in 1990 to much acclaim, the course unfortunately suffered from poor management and closed for a period of time but successfully reopened in 2007 with a newly renovated 18-hole golf course.
The layout is tight and thanks to the abundant trees, very narrow at some spots. Mature pines line the narrow fairways and the greens roll fast and true. The course thoughtfully incorporates the terrain, utilizing the natural elevation changes and water features. The bunkers were strategically placed to make you really strategize your club selection and target. One of the most appealing aspects of the course is that it can truly accommodate all different skill levels with yardages ranging from 5,268 to 7,253.

Overall, had a good time.
The back nine is in better shape than the front nine. The course is getting the attention it needs. Staff is always friendly and did have a good time.
Needs Work!
I have played this course about 5 times. The course has always been well maintained, but yesterday when i played...... I felt like I was at a 3rd world country; patches of grass where missing on a few holes, the grass was dried up and brown. It was just awful. I do not believe this course was worth my money! I would say that when I played in the past and it was maintained it was a beautiful most exciting place but now, must be new management or something it is terrible
Course routing is consistantly interesting. Starts a little slowly but builds into a really good finish
The course layout is really a lot of fun. The greens are fast and true. Overall conditioning needs some tweaking, but the're making progress, Pace of play was very good. All in all, a very good outing!

This course was in good condition with fast and uniform greens. Layout interesting challenging a course that you will want to play again.
Greens still roll nice
Always liked playing the course however the conditions have really gone downhill. Greens still rolled great and the traps were all consistent but the rest of it has a long way to go to get back to what it use to be. Good deal for $26.00.
Crab grass fairways! poor greens!
Binks is crab grass haven and the greens are not fast they are rock hard and look ugly! tee boxes are poor and pace of play is very slow. Word can't describe of poor this place is.

A Good Course that could be a lot better
great layout, tees and fairways are better after seeding but fairways still have some naked spots. In my opinion the greens have not been seeded and consequently they seem to be bare.Result is greens that are excessively fast and unfair to the point that any downhill put is almost impossible to stop at the hole. I also consider them to be bumpy and many pin placements were on a side hill. Very difficult not to 3 put.
Overall good, greens are in good shape rest of course needs work. Especially fairways
For the price it is good, but fairways need work, greens in good shape and pace could be better.
The course is challenging and in great condition.
I enjoy playing here when I come to Florida. This course is an excellent value and is worth the extra drive. Everyone at the course are friendly. Watch out for the alligator on 16.

Pace of play was good with excellent greens, Tees and fairways were maintained.

Not pristine, but a good value. Lots of tees, so you can pick your own difficulty.
this is a golfers dream
I got to play with a pro today. He played from the black tee area which was 7253 yards and a rating of 74.7/136. He like the course so much we played it again. The course has a lot of sand traps and water. the 18th hole is a nice finishing hole with water in front of the green and the green slops down to the water. You need a great tee shot and a big decision to go for it or stay to the left and avoid the water. The 8th and 9th holes are long par fours. The greens are fast. This is a course i would play again.
