Opened in the 1970s, Zephyrhills City Golf Course has been a local favorite for more than 30 years. It is one of the area's most popular public golf courses and its convenient location just 30 minutes from Tampa Bay's attractions makes it appealing to visitors as well. The layout is a short 5,054 yards but it offers a player-friendly round that still has a fair amount of challenges. Water hazards in the forms of lakes and meandering streams come into play throughout the course and the bunkering may be sparse but it is strategically placed. Zephyrhills City Golf Course is approachable for beginners but more advanced players will enjoy it for a quick round of practice.

Course needs some work, some greens were bad, fairways need grass p
Play It Again
This course is very nice, the staff are nice and accommodating. Some of the greens can use some attention.
No Thanks
The greens were spotty at best, fairways not great, this short 55+ course needs a lot of repair before you should spending your money here. There are many other places at around the some price that are in fantastic condition.
Good and short
Course was in pretty good shape for this time of year. We've had very little rain in the last month yet majority of the fairways still have green grass. Greens are a little slow and bumpy but most have grass, only couple gave some rough spots.
as good as it gets
everything about this place is good starting with the excellent staff that make you feel welcomed. They do all they can to make your round enjoyable ! Even most of the other golfers I end up playing with are pleasant . I almost always go by myself and meet new people (friends) all the time. The course is short without sand traps and water doesn't really come into play. I GOT NO PROBLEM WITH THAT ! I tell my friends up north I hit in the 70s and they think I am doing better as I usually hit in the 80s. Using GOLF NOW you can't beat this deal. As I said in the title; when you take all factors into consideration IT IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS.
A long drive
Zephyrhills golf course is a pretty short, fairly easy course with only a few dangerous hazards. The rough isn’t too long, so finding a stray ball is easier than in many other courses. The “long drive” is the distance between holes on one side of a fenced off property and the other side, and to play 18 holes, that drive has to be made four times. We enjoyed the course and the weather cooperated, although it was chilly and foggy when we started. We actually had a great round and good fun.
Easy to score well
Fairways are fairly close together but were in pretty decent shape as were the greens. Not many hazards so it’s easy to score well. I normally hit around 90 for 18 holes but usually score in the low 80’s here. Layout is a little odd with holes 1 &10 and 8,9,17, &18 quite a distant drive from the rest of the course. Since we were in a cart it was no big deal but I wouldn’t want to walk it.
