Opened in the 1970s, Zephyrhills City Golf Course has been a local favorite for more than 30 years. It is one of the area's most popular public golf courses and its convenient location just 30 minutes from Tampa Bay's attractions makes it appealing to visitors as well. The layout is a short 5,054 yards but it offers a player-friendly round that still has a fair amount of challenges. Water hazards in the forms of lakes and meandering streams come into play throughout the course and the bunkering may be sparse but it is strategically placed. Zephyrhills City Golf Course is approachable for beginners but more advanced players will enjoy it for a quick round of practice.

Everything about this place is great ! The staff are down to earth un-snobby regular folks. Even the cart people are helpful. What this course lacks in length is made up by the layout. I only have one arm and I don't hit 300 yds. so a little shorter works nicely. The fairways are lush and the greens good and true. Another thing I like about this place is the people that play there. I am yet to run into someone unpleasant. Folks following you are respectful and never hit into you. ( I'm sure there are a few _____ but I am yet to run into one) Finally what other course can you play where you have to be careful not to hit a skydiver ?
To many weds and clover
If you're off the center of the fairway. Just. Drop another ball because you won't find your first one.
Zephyrhills Golf Course
This was the worst course I've played since I've be in this area of Florida. I'm sure this was probably a nice course at one time, but it is nothing more that a cow patch now. It's too bad that the owners of the course don't have the money to maintain it.
2nd Time and Getting Better
2nd Time Playing this Course in about 3 weeks. I have seen good improvement in a short time and things are getting better. The Fairways were mowed and can actually tell the Fairway from the rough. Greens are starting to heal from the bald spots and wild grass (Still has a way to go, but getting better). I Kinda Like this Short Course to work on Irons and chipping. Got a Great Deal on Gold Now and will definitely be back. Also Really Happy to See One Person Per Cart for COVID-19 Safety. Nice Little Short Course.
Nice Course ...
!st Time Play'n this Course and it was an Okay Experience. The Greens and Tee Box could use a little work. Most of the flags were located on the Good Spots of the green, but Most of the Greens have wild grass and rough spots. Fairly Short Course and good for short game work. Layout is a little different, Got lost after the 7th or 8th Hole, but was able to find the next hole back on the other side of the course, thanks to the course layout on the scorecard. All and All a Good Course and I will play there again. I got a Great Rate on Golf Now. I would recommend giving this Course a Try if you get a Good Rate.
Front yard golf
This course is the worst thing i have played on in my entire time golfing... At one time this course was decent almost getting to great shape... But now your better off using your money as toilet paper backup in case of.another shortage...go outside whether you live in a apartment on concrete and start playing you will enjoy just as much...
Worst Ever
If i could give this course a 0 star rating i would. Every golfer we encounter was complaining. They have let the place go. Its like playing in a field. fairways are awful rough is super long and greens are nonexistent. paid for 18 stopped after 9 and asked for money back they said no rain checks no refunds. I would be embarrassed and ashamed if I owned this course. go anywhere but here it will be a good day but to play this course you may as well throw your 20 bucks in the trash. Will never return.
Ok for a muni course, in a pinch.
Everything else was booked this morning so I gave this place a shot. Tee time was 7 and they weren't open til 7 so no time to get my stuff together or warm up. Tee boxes were mainly clover that was occasionally mowed. Fairways were completely non-existent. You can't even tell where you should be hitting it on most holes. Hole layout is odd and confusing to get from one hole to the next. No water in play and no bunkers at all. Maybe good for some but boring for most and I'm not a good golfer. About 40% of the greens were actually in very good shape but the rest were so bad that you'd be better off putting on gravel. Cheap at $25 but for $5 more you can play some pretty decent courses in this area.
