About
Opened in the 1970s, Zephyrhills City Golf Course has been a local favorite for more than 30 years. It is one of the area's most popular public golf courses and its convenient location just 30 minutes from Tampa Bay's attractions makes it appealing to visitors as well. The layout is a short 5,054 yards but it offers a player-friendly round that still has a fair amount of challenges. Water hazards in the forms of lakes and meandering streams come into play throughout the course and the bunkering may be sparse but it is strategically placed. Zephyrhills City Golf Course is approachable for beginners but more advanced players will enjoy it for a quick round of practice.

Course is in very good shape, staff is unbelievablynice, cost is very good and even when busy play is fast. I play 1 to 3 times a week and know its layout but 1st timers have difficulty knowing where the next tee box is. ,

Played in the morning. Course conditions were good and it’s a great value and a pleasure to play here, the staff is friendly and ready to help if needed. We always feel welcome coming here! Thank you and we’ll be back soon!

Would have been perfect day except there was a guy in a couple groups behind us; making a fuss. Than he drove into the parking lot with the golf cart which everyone knows you are not allowed to do.
The mgt of the course was great and never got upset. To their credit ! Maybe the guy was just having a bad day. We all get them.
Course Review
First of all, no clear indications of cart pickup or drop off, no signs showing golfers can not drive the carts to the parking lot. Staff did not mention not to drive carts to the parking lot. Staff member yelled at golfer not to drive cart in the parking lot after the fact, no signs posted. The tee boxes are not clean and greens are full of crab grass that redirects the ball away from the hole. Every hole distance is inaccurate by as much as 20- 25 yards, short or long. No other fairway markers besides the 200, 150 and 100. Long over hanging tree limbs that need to be trimmed back. The pace should not be 4 hours on a 4500 yard course. The score card is also not up to date with the blues and whites. This is only a practice course and should not be affiliated with Golf Now. I will never golf here again.
