Opened in the 1970s, Zephyrhills City Golf Course has been a local favorite for more than 30 years. It is one of the area's most popular public golf courses and its convenient location just 30 minutes from Tampa Bay's attractions makes it appealing to visitors as well. The layout is a short 5,054 yards but it offers a player-friendly round that still has a fair amount of challenges. Water hazards in the forms of lakes and meandering streams come into play throughout the course and the bunkering may be sparse but it is strategically placed. Zephyrhills City Golf Course is approachable for beginners but more advanced players will enjoy it for a quick round of practice.

needs TLC
short, easy course with no sand traps. Very affordable and is quite busy because of the price. Par 68 with 6 par 3 and only 2 par 5 holes.
SLOW
Lets start with the good.
Good conditions, very nice staff.
Wife likes this course.
But......
It is a five hours round, on a Monday at 1 pm.
We tried to figure out why:

Price was great.
Nice course, holes are close so have to be aware of balls coming from other holes. Highly recommend for the price with golf now.

Always overbooked
This course has a habit oof overbooking. We waited forty minutes past our tee time. And they never have enough carts available. This is a short course but plays very slowly.
A work in progress
Greens are in rough shape. ..poor signage ...back and forth between both sides of the course. ..not sure if you can walk this course or not. ..but if they allow it ...you need a gps. ...membership here in this condition should be almost nothing but looking at their page ...you are not getting any value for the money 13 bucks on Golf Now is not even a deal
I was a bit leery at first but...
I was a bit leery at first because the price was so low and I could find few reviews, however this course was a very nice especially for people who are beginners or just looking for a chance to hit at nice wide open fairways.
The course was in good condition and it is apparent that the staff have been working hard to improve the conditions. No trouble using my golfnow receipt, 8$ for a round of 18 was hard to pass up!
its worth the trip
Our 3some agrees... The management at z-hills golf has really stepped up. The fairways have never looked better. The greens are in pretty good shape. If you haven't played here this year then your missing a great game of golf. Best value in town, Imho
Enjoyed playing this course.
Pretty wide-open course - no sand traps. I've only been out a couple of times in the past year. As a 18-20 handicap player, I found this course to be challenging, yet, appropriate for my level of play. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Can't wait to go again.
The course is user friendly.
Very easy course, pace of play generally very good. Seniors particularly favor this layout.
