Top 3 LA County Course
I would have to say that this course is one of the top 5 LA County courses that I've played. I would put it up there with Los Verdes gc and the one of mountain meadows.
The front nine was pretty hilly with wide open fairways. The back nine is fairly flat. when the wind blows, at least 5 holes will have your wind on your face in the back nine. I believe only hole 10 was the only tight fairway I saw all day.
we tee off at 9:30am on a sunday and finish around 2:30pm. Typical for a county course. Overall, the course was in a decent shape for the many rounds that it plays, It was a good round of golf.
Really nice course
My tee time was at 8am. I had to wait 40 mins. After to tee off due to too many people. Worker did their best to compensate me for my wait. And because of that. I will come to play again due to great Personnel. Thank you
The course was in excellent condition.
The course was in excellent condition for a municipal course. The pace of play was exceeding slow as it took over six hours to finish our round. This is primarily due to the fact that the course allows groups of five and the marshals are no where to be found making sure all groups play at the pace they should. I would recommend this course to my friend but advise them not to play on the weekend.
Best to play @ first light or on a weekday. Avoid playing here on the weekends!
Played here recently on a Wed afternoon. Had a 237 tee time and still finished, even though we had our doubts of finishing after the front 9. Luckily, the back 9 moved a lot faster. This course is busy. There are a lot of people playing here @ all times it seems. I usually only play here when there is a decent deal on GolfNow. The most recent deal we got was the 237 time for $20 per person, which included a cart. My recommendations: play here first thing in the morning so no one is in front of you or play on a weekday (although weekdays are pretty packed too). Def don't play on a weekend. I remember playing here on a weekend not too long ago and it took over 6 hours to play. I think this place can benefit from a marshall who is not afraid to get on groups' butts about slow play.
Challenge wise, this course is good. I think length is where the challenge is. It's about 6800 from the blues. Condition wise, the course is in decent shape.
All in all, the golf here is decent, but it's the slow play that makes me second-think whether I want to book times here. It's worth trying at least once though.
Terrible Pace
We were pretty disappointed in this golf course for a few reasons. First the course pace was horrible. It took us nearly 6 hours to play 18 holes. The golf course obviously overbooks tee times. Next not once did we see the Course Marshall to check with us or to move people along. All of the tee boxes were littered with trash, there was no upkeep on that at all.
Their maintenance crews are so smart!!!
May be due to the Monday playing, I never saw the front group. It was so............o fast play. Took me only 4 hours. On the other hand, there were so much construction/repairing working going on. First and last greens were under construction, and one of long hole(par 5) ended with a middle hole(par 4). But overall the thing I like the most was the Green. Down hill putting was very fast and the side way putting was fun to read. Oh, one more, I noticed the green was aerifyed two different time. All the pin position we played were very good condition, and the other half of greens had still air holes. I think this is very considerable way of honoring golfers.
average to below average
it appeared as though too many parts of the course had not been watered sufficiently. the greens were rock hard. i recall one ball from 100 yards out bouncing about 5 feet in the air and rolling off the green for no good reason other than the greens are too hard -- so hard that you couldn't really find our own ball mark to repair! save your money and play somewhere in better shape!
Not Bad
Overall not too bad. A little disappointed in the fairways. Too many different types of grass and a couple were a little muddy. Greens were nice. Would play it again.
Good golf experience
This is a good course for all skills. Challenging enough for skilled players and forgiving enough for beginners. The staff was welcoming and friendly. very relaxed atmosphere. course was in very good condition. Greens were VERY fast, tricky. And good value. Nice range to warm up on.
I will play there again and would recommend to others
Nice course
Well worth the time and money.
Plenty of trees. Nice and challenging.
harder than you think
this course seems like one of those courses that you can shoot low cause it's a flat course and misdrives can be hit from the other fairways. However, this course is long. 3 out of 4 par 3's are long. for some reason, this course always seems to get the better of me, which has me coming back over and over again. I want to conquer this course.
watch out for the walking fivesome on this course though. happens 1 out of 2 times. 5.5 hour rounds happen pretty often.
Best bang for your buck in Los Angeles area
Greens were of a quality that I have seen at 80-100 dollar courses. Excellent scenery, great length (6,800 yards) nice challenging course. For 40 dollars on a weekend, it honestly can't be beat.
For a Thursday noon tee time the cost was superb and the greens were in great shape. Tricky fast, but great all around.
It has been raining on and off for a couple days, so the fairways had some puddling here and there. The greens are in nice shape. Pace of play was super fast, probably because the possibility of rain. I'm definitely playing there again in the next couple of weeks.
horrible Staff!!!! Backed up every hole
One word GREEDY! course allowed 5 some walkers with fourt some walkers on this big of a course and putting them 15 min behind. every hole was backed up. took 4 hrs to play front nine. we complained at pro shop to staff after front nine, and they didnt care. marshall was very rude. Such Anice course for such rude employees and alowing the huge back up. will never go back to diamond bar golf course again. this was on a Wed. morning too.could only imagine how the weekend would be.
Overall good course, management could use some work though
The course itself was really fun. Pretty long par 72, nice wide fairways in decent shape. Quite a few bunkers here and there, and you hit over a large lake on the 9th. Not overly difficult.
But the management... Apparently the pro shop guy had some trouble with the computer. Took us a good half hour to get checked in, had a fivesome walking in front of us. In general, just lots if slow groups all around. Looked overbooked, and the marsha kept asking us to pick up the pace, despite having to wait at almost every hole.
Started at noon and ran out of light on the 15th hole (still waiting for a group in front). Only paid $21 riding so still not bad. Wouldn't pay more than $30, and I would try to get an earlier time. Try and get there early and expect to wait.
The diamond bar course is decent. The condition of course is well maintained.
It has quite a few challeging courses such as a uphill par 3 course and a green between right-left bunkers. The pace was a little slow, but it was not too bad. Hopefully, we will play here, again.
Open feel with a few challenging holes
Played on a Saturday afternoon and the pace of play was good. Although next to the freeway, it feels preety wide open. Par 3 hitting over water and up to an elevated green was fun (got an opportunity to congratulate a newlywed couple takiing photos by the water). Several doglegs challenge you to draw and fade the ball, but with enough room to work. A few rough patches in some fairways and freeway noise...other than that, very enjoyable.
Not bad to enjoy twilight game even in summer
Walking 5 some group needs to speed up for the riding group
Good condition
The course is in good condition, sometimes you run into groups just starting on the back nine.
