Shandin Hills Golf Club

I've played on this course twice. The first time, the pace of play was good, but the greens were in poor condition. Overall, the condition of the course is just not the best. This second time around, my buddy and I were a little annoyed because they had several groups start their rounds both in front and behind us after we had already started. I’m assuming these were members but I'm not 100% sure. Additionally, the back 9 was closed for aeration without any prior notification. At our other course that we go to, they inform us in advance and offer fee discounts when they do aeration. If we had been aware of these issues beforehand, we would’ve just gone to another course.

Greens were horrible especially for front 9 holes. Not too many guys were playing on Saturday, so we finish 18 holes very quickly.

It was expected that the fairways would be tight and dry. Bunkers had no sand, but even worse was that the greens had been lost a while ago but they don’t tell you that when you pay. Crab grass , divots, splotch grass and significant burns with sand fill.

Staff refuses to stock bathroom on back 9. The said it was do to the many homeless in the area.

Greens are in the worst shape I think I’ve ever seen. They should not be charging 60+ on any day/time. Sad to see the type of condition the course is in!

Normally the greens here are pretty good but last week they were in HORRIBLE shape. Not sure we'll be coming back unless the greens improve.

Greens normally good shape but in bad shape now, patchy and dying.

Greens are normally in good shape but are now patchy with many areas of dirt spots and dead green. Never seen it like this.

Generally a good course with good staff. Same on this trip. The greens had some work done and were not quite ready. Sand traps in good shape. Good day, I just have to execute shots🏌️‍♂️
