Great Course,Friendly Staffs

Scheduled for Maintenance 1st week of April...We will definitely be back to play again.

I been playing at Shandin for over 15 years. Lots of new faces and players. So, the only problem is all the new players.. they park their golf carts basically on the greens and dont yell fore or anything when they hit a ball at your group lol… other then that the greens are in good shape, tee boxes need some love but other then that I like Shandin and will be back again. Thank you.

Jeff in the pro shop was excellent, very friendly, nice man. We liked course, greens were good. the lady in the snack bar also very friendly.

Change of management resulted in new golf carts, increased prices, no lunch included but the same sparse fairways. Clubhouse personnel always friendly and cooperative.

Staff completely disregarded our tee time and didn’t allow us to play. They said they were completely booked until the afternoon despite the fact that no one was even on the tee box. Staff needs to be more accommodating to paying players.

Driving range was in bad shape. It was small and the mats were muddy and thin. The range balls did not warrant the price.

Tee boxes were level but looks like it had cancer.

Greens were decent but had inconsistent speeds.

Saw a dude walking his dog in the front 9. There was also a loose dog chillen at the green on hole 11.

The people playing did not understand pace of play even after being told by the marshal to speed up there game. Even had a confrontation from a group after we skipped a hole to play on front of them because we watched them swing and miss 4 times even after they were instructed to play best ball and to keep up pace of play. They also had a kid with them. We were the third group to pass them.

We also saw multiple groups of 5.

Overall it took us 5H45M to finish this round. First and last time at this course.

I decided to give the course another chance and I'm glad I did. The pace of play was pretty slow, but it was New Years Day so it was to be expected. The staff was really friendly and the course was in decent shape. Even though it's not a "pristine condition" golf course, it definitely has a nice layout with a lot of personality. All in all, still a very fun round of golf.

Greens were quicker and true than expected! Fairways were spotted.

Over all a positive review.

Fairways and tee boxes are not in the best conditions. Cheapest course in the area, so if nothing else, good place to practice and get a tee time.

Yesterday was my third time playing in Shandin, course is in good condition for the winter, some dry spots but hey it’s winter. Pace of play is great, a lot of challenging par fives and long par fours, this course really challenges you to use your driver and long irons. The golf carts are super comfortable btw
