Shandin Hills Golf Club

I booked a tee time at this course, I showed up 20 minutes earlier and the Marshall was extremely rude to me and my gf even after us saying good morning first. He told us that he didn’t have a cart available and began to give me attitude like if it was my fault that they are not staffed with golf carts to the volume of tee times they are selling. He then gave me more attitude and said that I need to go and get a refund because he didn’t have a cart available for us and took all his anger and frustration out on us for no good reason, espionage when we had already paid our green fees. I definitely would not recommend going to this course at all.

Course is great for the value, gets a little backed up but worth the money.

For 40$ on golfnow at 2 pm was not worth the money at that time it should be 20$ the most. I’ve played here plenty of times and this is the worst condition it’s been in. Disappointed. Pace of play was ridiculous, my sister and I were playing and guys behind us hit into us and laughed about it. No golf etiquette at all!! Horrible won’t be coming back.

This was my first time playing this course and since it was Mother’s Day, it was pretty open.

The course is challenging with some strategically placed bunkers. This is where part of the issue I have with this course, but to be fair, just about every course in So. Cal suffers from horrible bunker conditions, the sand/ dirt was wet in most every bunker, making it stupid to try to hit out of. Also, the fairways were nicely cut and very playable but if you get off on any of them, there was deep grass/ weeds which made finding your ball very hard. I lost a couple of balls in the deep rough. You’d think that maybe they could cut down the grass a bit to make the rough more playable or to speed up play since you won’t speed 10 minutes looking for your ball.

I will come back and play here. The staff seemed very nice and helpful.

You can sometimes get a deal to play here for under $30 with a cart, which is an insane deal in today’s golf climate. The course conditions are better than some similar ones in the same price range, I’d absolutely play here over other $30 options.

Nice to get out after work, but grass conditions were thin except for the greens. Greens were in good condition, just really slow. Great value for the price!

Greens have been repaired but already starting to go downhill again with brown spots!
