Mid-day 3 hour round
Despite the burnout of the fairways, the greens are kept lush and soft while still remaining fast. There's a bucket of balls out there on the chipping/bunker area which is a nice touch and located by the first tee if you do have to wait. Such a great value for under $20.
Fun course, fair rate.
I'm a frequent visitor of this course. Elevation changes, bunkers, dog legs, and lakes to contend with. Descent shape. Fair rate for what u get. Course upkeep is good considering current drought.
Fun course but noisy
Played this course during a trip heading up north. Nice course and practice facility. Greens were in good condition. Fairways had some brown spots from the drought as expected. Only draw back was freeway noise. The course straddles the interstate and there is a constant drone of car noise.
same as I remember from 20 years ago
Generally in good condition, except a lot of damage from ground squirrels. The greens were slow, but that's typical for hot weather. Only about 6,500 from the blue tees, but a good layout. We stopped to get lunch and still played in three and a half hours. All the flags are yellow, so you can't tell their position on the green.
A bargain as a Golf Now Hot Deal.
course is in decent shape green are very good
The course is in decent shape and has a fairly good layout. it's a little shorter then other courses I like to play but it is tight and requires accuracy off the tee. The greens are in great shape. They hold very nice and running very true.
Good price and pace
We played through a slower group and we let a single and a twosome play through. Still finished under 4 hours. Course was wide open and beverage cart was very good. Even went back to clubhouse to get a custom drink order. Fun day!
good playing here
As usual challenging greens takes your full attention
shandin hills
this course is not in good condition. it has the ping all of them same color, so does not help to see if the hole is in the front , middle or back.
Excellent facility
Did the all inclusive deal on Monday and it was amazing! Finished 27 holes and ate three meals for $40. Had no delays on the first 18 with an early tee time of 7 (3 hrs 45 min). Took a break for lunch and had some delays on the next 9 (2 hrs 25 min). The greens look flat but are primarily slanted towards the mountains. The fairways are a little rough due to a gopher infestation, but I missed most of the fairways anyway. Not sure about paying $35 for 1 round, but the Monday deal is well worth it
Great accomodating staff
Always friendly, always well maintained and always a great value!
close to the freeway
I have played here a few times and the condition of the course changes constantly. The greens were recently reconditioned cause they were all full of sand, the fairway were in good condition this time, would have been nice to have been told this before going out.The pace of play is almost always SLOW, I'm not sure why the slower golfers don't seem to understand how slow they are or don't care here. I continue to return every so often thinking that one day it will all fall in line, silly me.
Good pace of play
Overall course was in good shape pace of play was very good for a Sunday afternoon had a good time playing
Courwe needs a NEW Grounds Keeper!!!
I have played this course for several years and enjoy the layout. I've seen it good from poor to GREAT and now back to POOR again. The fairways are extremely ruff with large holes all over the place, goffer and squire holes abound through out the course. The greens had recently been pouched, but of course there was not mention of that either in the site nor in the pro shop. One of the really sore spots for me is the sand traps, or what they call sand traps. What good does it do to rake a trap with a machine then WATER it to death so the sand sets up like cement? They use to really groom the sand really well on Sundays so they were nice for the men's club play. NO more! Some even still had standing water in them, making them a muddy mess. Very unfortunate, as I will not go back in the near future.
Aerification Alert
Overall I thought the course was in fair to good shape. My only concern was the greens were aerified recently and it was very bumpy.
Sad Condition, why play
Course was in very poor condition throughout, tee boxes to greens. Tee boxes were in very bad condition did not even have the tee box marks layed out, you were left to tee up where ever suited you. Greens were awful. Heavy sand with lots of holes. You would think GolfNow and/or the course staff would warn you before paying to play in such an awful state. Furthermore, the restroom just outside the clubhouse was locked and closed? All in all pretty sad condition. Obviously the course management does not have the players/customers best interest in mind evidenced by their lack of management oversight of this course. In it's current condition I would not recommend this course. Spend your money elsewhere you'll be glad you did.
just to many beer dranking beginners
Decent course but stay away from afternoon rounds on weekends, to many hacks who don't have a clue about golf educate, we made the turn and came to 10 to watch each individual in the foursome hit 3-4 tee balls from the tee, absolutely no clue what they where doing, then hold up the tee another 10minutes while the Beer Girl sold them more Beer, needless to say this course needs a Marshal and less visits buy the Beer cart. wont play there again on weekend afternoons.
Golf players that have no etiquette
Like every coarse you encounter very slow players and then you encounter jerks that just cut in front of you , this is what happened to my grandson and myself 3-7-2015. There was no Marshall to police the coarse
About what I expected
I have played this course quite a few times, and if you have played there before, you usually know what you are getting when booking your tee time. I was very surprised at how good the greens were. Very green, well maintained, and friggen FAST!! That definitely caught me off guard. The fairways were their usual hard, half dead self so that didn't come as a surprise. What I was curious about is paying $45 to play a round here. Granted we played Sunday during prime rates, I never expected to pay that much. I don't think I have ever payed over $35 to play here. I will definitely play here again as it is actually a pretty fun course despite the conditions, but I won't be paying $45 again.
Great simple course
Can't really complain when you're getting out and playing a round of golf. Course is nothing spectacular but always fun. Little backed up but pace was OK. Staff is friendly, David at the pro shop was very accomodating. Definitely not my last round here.
