We really enjoyed playing here. Expectations were low because of the price but the course was in good shape, excellent greens. The front nine playing up and down the hill, had some very scenic holes. Finished the round a little less than 3 1/2 hours. We will definitely go back again.

saturated mud of various amts when striking ball made for very difficult short game from 100 yards and in. A thin sand layer below grass would help. Still a good deal and fun golf course with fair to good greens.

How does this course gets 4-stars when most of my individual ratings are 3-stars? The answer is, greens that are in great condition, and a course design that I found to be very fun to play. However, this course does have the issues associated with a municipal course. The play is slow to very slow - due to the muni policy of allowing 5-somes (ridiculous). The tee boxes and fairways were average at best - very inconsistent and uneven. The sand traps were playable, although even in the afternoon, most of the traps were still very wet! After shooting a relatively easy 1 over 37 on the front 9 (I missed 4 birdie putts), my game fell apart as the pace of play slowed to a crawl on the back 9. After an acceptable 2 hour and 5 minute pace for the front 9, the back nine took 2 hours and 55 minutes to complete! As a result, my score ballooned to a 45 on the back nine. After a 10 minute wait to tee off on the 10th hole, it did not get any better. The 3-some I was playing with quit after 14 holes (they had plans in Palm Springs that night).

The course is in good condition overall and the greens are excellent.The staff were very friendly and actually got us out a little early. I have played this course several times and will return.

This course for its age is still well maintained and has stayed a good value compared to some of the other courses in the area. The grounds crews do a great job.

Some of the tee boxes were horrible. Greens were good.

I truly enjoyed my day, can't wait to do it again..

Planes....trains and automobiles.....maybe the loudesr course around. Inexpensive and challenging.......

Under rated, nice course. This is my time here, the great rate attracted me. $12.00 w/cart is a deal.

It was a holiday so our threesome thought we'd be waiting to start and for groups ahead. Instead we were able to tee off right on time and weren't rushed at all. The beverage cart came around often but not annoying. I'll be playing there again.

I play Shandin Hills about once a month. I don't like the freeway noise or the train noise on the back 9. But it always seems to be in good condition. It has drinking water on the course at several holes. Staff has always been courteous. Some elevation change on the front 9. And It is a good value.

Course is in nice shape for this time of year. Finished the round in about 3:45 and it was very enjoyable. The greens are always in excellent condition although slow at times. As with most older courses, there many trees but as long as you are in the fairway, low scoring is always possible. Bunkers could use some TLC but course is very playable.

The golf course was in pretty good shape fairways are okay some bare spots the greens are very good but slow but they were all very true.... They could definitely use a martial out there to speed play to make the rounds under five hours.

Overall a great course to play for the money. The golf staff is very courteous and helpful. The food/beer deals are great.

older course in area but fairly well maintained. holes were not all alike,which is good.variety made for proper club selection.cart paths could use work.i 've played here several times and will return.price was really good.recommend,but if you're looking for fancy,this is not the place.
