Great place
Always enjoy this course, pace of play was good…our foursome teed off at 1100am and we finished just a bit after 3…condition we’re very good, greens always tricky..but what stood out for me above all else was the starter/Marshall working that day. Very friendly, gave us a bit of advice on the first tee and saved me two clubs!!!….when I got to the 4.th hole, he came up to our group and asked if I had left a couple of clubs on the first tee. Went to my bag and discovered both my 8 and 9 iron were missing. I had left both of them by the first green after putting out. I will always be thankful for that generous act. Awesome day. Oh, I still shot over 100, but didn’t matter.
Six hour round
I guess you should expect it on a Sunday.
Course is in nice shape but I’ll ovoid the weekends in the future
Awesome greens
The course is in good condition but those green's are round killers. The unfortunate fire in the kitchen that damaged the pro shop but also the restrooms. Today there were quite a few walking golfers but we got 18 in after a 12:30 tee off.
Sad
Club house is burnt so porta potties available. Fairway and rough not well kept. Cost $74 for 18 holes. Nice course layout but unfortunately not well kept.
Do Yourself a Favor and Just Pick a Different Course
This was an absolute waste of money, anyone who says otherwise either does not play golf or is getting paid by course management.
Our tee time was at 1:30 with sunset expected at 5:40PM - which should be just enough time to finish a round; maybe you're putting on 18 in a bit of darkness. The pace of play on this course is horrendous, with no favors done by the fact that the course management tries to squeeze too many golfers on the course at one time, with only nine minutes in between groups. The problem with this approach is the course starts with a downhill short par-4 that everyone thinks they can drive so they wait for the group ahead to clear the green. The next hole is a par 3, which, like every other par 3 we were able to play, had a two or three group backup on the tee (again, nine minutes between groups is clearly not enough time).
It took us 40 minutes to get through the first two holes, and then we hit the stretch of holes 5, 6, and 7, which were a par 3 (again 3 group backup), a very reachable par 5 (every group waits for the green to clear to get there in two, creating another backup on the tee box), and a par 3 (again a 3 group backup). We probably waited on average 10 minutes between shots.
We finally made the turn after the 9th hole and the time was 5PM. THREE HOURS AND THIRTY MINUTES to get through nine holes! Are you serious?! And what do we find on the 10th hole? another 2 group backup because the 10th is a par 3. To think we paid $55 a person to play at snail's place and have no sense of rhythm. Oh and this is not to mention the fact that the fairways are dug up, have large electrical equipment in the middle of them, and have electrical cable lines running overhead.
The only good thing about the course is the maintenance of the greens, which is why this doesn't get a 1 star. Absolutely worthless experience.
Nice Course But….
Great municipal course but pace of play is very slow and lacks assistance to speed up play. Cart died on the 13th hole and no staff picking up phone. That was around 4:30pm on Thursday. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
