Always A Great Play...But...

I absolutely love playing The Reserve at Spanos Park. It is one of my favorite courses. The course is challenging in itself, but even more so when it is windy. The conditions when I played were EXCELLENT. The only problem is that we were placed behind a slow moving tournament with players that had never played the course before. Their speed of play, due to decisions they were making, putting out every ball, and not play "ready golf", slowed everything down to a snail's pace. It made it so that there was little tempo to the round that we were playing. While difficult to deal with, it does not change my thoughts about The Reserve, and I would play there again in a heartbeat!

It would be an excellent rating but unfortunately winter is approaching and caught us off guard. The wind really affects this coarse especially when you’re playing form the back tee boxes

Good challenging round

A course I return to play once in awhile due to

being 1:15 to 1:30 from home. Going up in price like everything else these days, but still a favorite. With nice greens you wish that players would properly repair ball marks.

Very nice course

The Reserve at Spanos Park is probably my favorite course in the Stockton area. On this particular visit, there were a lot of twosomes and threesomes on the course. Which seem to make for good pace of play. Conditions were good.

Country Club conditions

I drive an hour to play this course once a week. Never gets old! Challenging but fair! Great condition and staff is outstanding. Food and service is outstanding and essentially a country club without assessments or food quarterly!
