Fun course to play
Fun course to play, nice layout, reasonable greens.
Great course in Knoxville area
Course layout was one of the best around as it winds through hills in neighborhood. Nicely sized fairways with lined trees and strategically placed sand traps add challenging play. All greens and fairways in outstanding condition. Some great view of the eastern Tennessee mountains on several holes. Very nice staff at the clubhouse.
Top quality Golf / Country Club in Lenoir City TN
Great golf course layout with hilly terrain. greens and fairways were in excellent shape for nearing the end of October 2024. Course is always maintained and manicured well. Great starter interaction if required. Friendly restaurant staff and menu selection.
Avalon Country Club
One of the best courses I have ever played while also having one of the best scenic views in the country. Never seen a better playing surface than the one they have at Avalon. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes were in perfect condition. Very easy to get to and very friendly people. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Tennessee area looking to play. Don’t have one complaint, Avalon was perfect.
Blown away by the course for the price!!
The only negative I could say about this course is the fairways were a little hard packed making for tough fairway approach shots. EVERYTHING else was fantastic! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Starter was great at politely enforcing the tee times and gave us great course advice as first timers. Greens are quite difficult but play true, GPS carts, free range balls and BEAUTIFUL scenery. Quite a few difficult blind shots, I wish I could play this course every week!
Great course
Course is in fantastic condition. Staff was incredibly friendly. A group 2 ahead of us had seemingly joined a group of 2 and 3 together and were really holding up the pace of play. There were times that two groups were on the tee box waiting for them. They were also a bit reckless as they turned a cart over in the fairway.
Course is always very well maintained
Course is very well maintained & in excellent condition considering the weather in East TN. Well watered and manicured. Occasional dry spots but nothing crazy. Avalon struggled last year or year before with their greens (zoysia) & they have finally come back and rolling better than ever. Yes they may frustrate you, however, they roll true. If you haven’t played here, it’s a must.

I have played this course many times and each time I go out I love it more and more. It’s such a pure course and so well maintained. I recommend this course to all of my friends who are coming in from out of town!
Outstanding Day
Avalon's greens were in the best shape I have ever seen them. Course was in excellent condition. After a nice foursome let us play through on the 4th hole, we zipped through the rest of the round. Keep ot up Avalon!
12/10 I eagled 7 so how could I not love this place
