VERY FLAT COURSE
EASY TO WALK
PLENTY OF BUNKERS
Deja Vu...
The important stuff... course was in good shape. It obviously drains well. The greens were sandy from being punched a couple weeks ago so they were slow but rolled nice. 6200 yards was nice but not much trouble out there and the holes seemed similar... wide fairways and flat. I'd play again this time of year but summertime I will be elsewhere. The remodel was going on so typical job shack for a clubhouse but they did well with it.
Weekend walking
I live and play at Hawks Prairie most of the year but a friend was in town and wanted to play this weekend and as you know it rained all week and CC is well know as the driest course in the Olympia/Lacey area. There were a lot of St.Martin and Timberline players out and they seemed to play as if they owned the course and really didn't want to follow the rule of keep up with the group in front of you not in front of the group behind you. Other than that was a great day
Great condition!
We had STEADY rain for 7+ days prior to playing, was expecting a swamp!
Just the opposite was true! Ball actually bounced & rolled! AMAZING!
Very nice on poor weather conditions, can only imagine how nuce it must be when good weather prevails!
Must return!

Course was in great shape. Although you will need to keep an eye out on both the 1st and the 18th hole for the driving range is in between these holes.
Great Outing
Great day to out yesterday. The clubhouse staff are very professional and attentive to gofers needs.
The course is aways in good shape. It's just a good place to play.

Fairways groomed and green. Putting greens manicured and clean . Overall very pleasing to the eye and a great representation of how courses should be maintained ! Good Job CC Staff !
great condition
Arrived early for our tee time and was told we could go out as soon as we were ready. A twosome came up as we were finishing up on the tee box so we asked them to join us. Course was in great condition and we were able to complete our round in just over 4 hours.
Slow play
The pace of play was terrible. I had to stand for up to 5 minutes between shots. The marshal needed to take more control. I have played this course before and never encountered this experience.
Dead pan
A good course aside from the dead pan areas around some greens and a fairway it was a great experience.
Conditions are A+
Tees, Fairways, Greens, Rough and Bunkers all in terrific condition. I'll be back a few times this summer for sure.
Average
Good value for the price. It was a perfect day. Wish they had a beer cart girl so we could have had a drink or two while playing. Open fairways, lots of sand and fast greens. I'd play it again.
Like this course!
2nd time playing after early spring visit and the greens have improved. Course is very well maintained, saw course workers hard at work during the two visits. If you are looking for a good value throughout the year, this is it.
Great walking course
Unfortunately we were booked behind a tournament which is something that you cannot know about when booking on GN...our round went over 5 hours. That was the only negative about the outing as the greens were in excellent condition as was most of the course.
Very very poor management of course
We got there 30 min early and after waiting 15 min I noticed the first tee box was empty the entire time... So I went in and asked if we can tee off 15 min early .. His response was a very rude "look everybody is waiting" so what do they do , they send out a 6 SOME !! Yes you heard that right 6 some!!! We were a 3 some.... So if you want a 5 plus hour round playing I front of 6 some come here
great staff
My round. not so great. the course was in great shape. the club house staff were very nice and accommodating. and the pace of play was good for a holiday weekend.
Nice Course
You can never complain when you start your round with an Eagle. You would think to write a glowing review when you get another Eagle. Well...maybe not glowing but I will say the course was in really nice shape for a muni. Two Eagles on short par 5's was something I never did before but that would be the only drawback. The course does not offer any super challenge. There are a few holes that you have to work the ball left or right. But as long as you stay away from the trees or homes it is straight shooting. Reviews about greens from April reviews are gone. Greens were rolling well. GolfNow $13 walking deal was great. Only oddity were a few holes on the back nine golfing in the 'hood. In the words of Schwarzenegger - "I'll be back."

The ourse is always in good shape and a fair test for anyone. Good value, but always busy.
Afternoon Golf
I was playing with a friend of mine and we were behind a fivesome, ugh!! We quit after 9. Too slow. It would have taken us 5 hours to finish. We miss the days when there were course marshalls.
I'm sorry for your slow play experience at our facility. Our policy doesn't allow fivesomes during the time you played. I will have a conversation with the staff in this regard. We are just now bringing our marshall staff back for the season. We have a lot of walk on play in the evenings and sometimes it's hard to predict how busy we are going to be to justify a marshall. Speed of play is a priority for us and I hope you give us another chance. The golf course is really looking good. Thanks for your review.
I'm sorry for the experience you had at our course. We take great pride in taking care of our customers and giving them a well manicured golf course at a reasonable price. We have a strict policy on not allowing 5-somes let alone a 6-some. Sometimes people take it upon themselves to pair up with their buddies and combine groups. I have reports on the speed of play on the 25th and the highest reported was 4 1/2 hours. Not bad considering it was a holiday. I'm not sure what the break down was but I would like further information so it never happens again.
