Lionhead Golf and Country Club - Legends
About
The Legends Course at Lionhead Golf & Country Club has been ranked before as one of the toughest golf courses in North America and the club boasts that it is the toughest in Canada. Lionhead Golf & Country Club also offers another, less demanding 18-hole course that is equally entertaining, the Masters. Legends features numerous challenges including vast lakes, cavernous sand bunkers, and tall fescue. The layout winds through a rugged portion of the Credit River Valley with steeply rolling terrain and wooded ravines, providing the golf course with elevated, undulating greens. The eighth is a notable hole, both for its beautiful scenery and its difficulty level. It is a long par 3 over a pond filled with tall bulrushes.

Wow Awesome Course
Very scenic and well laid out course, challenging with water and many bunkers. Key to playing here is to plan your shots by either laying up to avoid trouble or knowing when to go for it.
location is good
really enjoy the 2 cources very reasonably priced great staff friendly ...it would better if it did not play too slow
Best course in Mississauga/Brampton
By far the best public course in the west GTA area. Course is so beautiful and very well maintained . Certainly was a treat to the eyes. You actually need proper guidance to play this course due to the design. Selling the guidance book for $5/- was not really appealing.
A challenging outing
Always enjoy playing the Legends....tough greens....lots of rough
Masters
Masters course at Lionhead always provide a challenging round! Good to see that greens have recoved from the winter ddamage.
I would like to see them fix their "starter" process. it seems always unorganized in getting to the 1st tee on time. this time groups were down on 1st tee that shouldnt have been there causing us tee off 30 mins behind schedule.
Great course(s)
Lionhead is a great golf course for those how like the challenge. Course was mostly in great shape with the exception of some greens. Staff was wonderful and pace of play was on the money. If you've never golfed lionhead I would recommend you do, and maybe throw a couple extra balls in the bag.
Excellent course
Have golfed for close to 10 years across ontario Canada, and this is the best courses I have played. challenging holes and well kept conditions. will definetly be back.
Lionhead Legends
Excellent value for the money...booked through GolfNow.com.
Great course
Played the Legends with my wife on Sunday. Every hole offers something to think about and remember. Pace of play was excellent. Very difficult but playable if you hit it straight. Only complaint is people not repairing ball marks! And, the Hot Deal from GolfNow was great. I'll be back!
great conditions, very challenging a little over priced
Really the only complain would be that the food is sub-par (don't get a sandwich from half-way house) but sausage was good.
I wouldn't want to pay any more. It should be no more than $75 to play at this course.
Course was in great condition and many holes are very challenging (from the blue tees)
legends or bust
Great course, but only if your playing legends why bother with the masters, u gona pay for it so might as well play the better of the 2 18s... only bad thing i can say is the cart girl had no sandwiches... what's up with that!
Great bag for your $$$ on golfnow.con
Course is in awesome shape (legends) and very clean. Staff were great! Only thing is that the halfway house was closed already before 5pm, because it was closed we had to go upstairs to the bar which wasn't a problem but they where having a function.
Great shape
It's been over 10 years since I played the course. It won't be another 10 years to play it again. The course was in excellent condition...greens little faster than they look.
Good value for price we paid
Course on good condition pace of play pretty good played early morning, some greens suffering from winter kill. Difficult track for any golfer.
A tough track
Very challenging course for any level of golfer; greens were excellent (at least 16 out of 18) Fairways are cut very short which permits excellent opportunity for accurate drives to get maximum carry. Second cut of rough is thick and will penalize 8 out of 10 golfers. Hole 11, 12 and 13 can play havoc with your scorecard if you are not accurate all the way to the green. This is 18holes you want to play more than once!
Challenging and fun!
The course was top-notch. Pretty, well-maintained, very good greens, which were difficult to read. Very enjoyable. Not a good choice for beginners though.
Tee off Early
Extremely beautiful & challenging course .The course is well maintained and organized!
The starter was extremely friendly !
All golf carts are pre assigned with labelling of your name & tee off time. Arrived early before my 712 am tee off time and was sent out at 700Am as the 703 group were not ready to tee off . time ....
Played the white tees which were plenty long and challenging for this senior . Cant wait to play this course again !
Great holfing day
Nice and challenging course. Long par 4s. Difficult greens and not always perfect greens due to other golfers not taking care of their pitch marks. Very nice "weather" marshall indicating rain and luckily for us he was only right once! We felt as if we were all alone on the course! Good value for money.
Roasting by 18...
Early morning tee off was in order for this round with temps feeling like 35 degrees even at that time in the morning. Made for a great morning, course was in good condition and always a challenge. The only downside is that they actually decided to cut on a busy Monday....it wasnt a holiday but because Tuesday was lots of people had it off. So, the course was busy even that early and it was a bit of an annoyance to have the crew follow us to basically every tee....and the guy doing the fairway divot replacement had the loudest cart EVER...it was like we had someone following us carrying a chain saw. Geez. Oh, and dont go into the bushes - they were spraying for Hogweed and apparently its all over there.
This course has great force carry
great course, greens in great shape, nice view from most tee box.
