Lionhead Golf and Country Club - Legends

Due to the weather the carts were not allowed off the paths.

Great round at a very long course with many hazards and elevation changes. Many times you will be dared to go for it by a picturesque hole so risk/reward must be weighed. Smart golf is advised or you will lose some balls. Tee selection is no joke.

was a great course..still a lot of winter damage and very poor greens..fairways alright but visual damage as u play vey unappealing..should hav delayed opening and cleaned up first b4 charging for really sum un puttable greens...play on this course right now will not help ur game...hope they restore it to what it has been in the past!

Was dissapointed with pace of play. Had to wait on tee box and in fairway too long. Marshall was not around. Had to complain to maintainenance staff
who call for marshall.
Greens are in terrible shape, supposedly from bad winter. Fairways were better. Signs there are giving course their full attention.

It was a great day to be on the course. Good weather, company course was in pretty good condition considering the time of year. Teed off on time and good pace of play for the weekend. Unfortunately, clubhouse is going through renovations which is a bit of inconvenience but should be nice when done

We really enjoyed our round because there was no back-up at all even though we had a couple showers. Some fairways and greens were not recovered from the last cruel winter, but overall it was enjoyable. Personally I prefer their Masters Course, though, because it has more variety and looks more peaceful and neat. This course is not recommended for high handicappers.

Course was in pretty good shape for beginning of the year - fairways and rough were very good, some greens have some work to do. Lots of water as you cross the Credit River several time. Overall, very challenging course.

One of the best courses in the GTA - also the most expensive public course.
However - LOTS of room for improvement - at this price there is NO Gps on carts.

I have played Lionhead many many times - and given the winter we had I was surprised by the shape the course was in. I am used to it being in pristine shape but with the winter we had I wasnt expecting much, but the conditions exceeded my expectations.
There were a LOT of trees down from the ice storm (including that pesky one at number 1 that blocked a shot from the right side of the fairway) and it is clear that the grounds crews have worked tirelessly to clear away debris.
I cant wait to play again in month or so once the greens get cleaned up some more and rolled a couple of times.

Excellent considering the winter we had, staff is great and accommodating, food is a little over priced but would continue playing there regularly.

For the season, the course was to be expected. They are doing a large construction job, the course has a great amount of dead debris and needs loads of clean up. The bridges were needing repairs as well. For the conditions, the price was far too high. On a bright note, the layout is nice and the bunkers were in good shape and the river was stocked with trout.

We've played this course a number of times over the years. The facility has two championship courses and a well developed practice area. The facility books alot of tournaments, and for me, the quality of the experience and maintenance of the facility has degraded over the years. The layout is challenging on both courses, and the pace of play can be very slow, as the courses are generally not marshalled well in my experience. Our circumstance on this day at Legends was very mixed. We had an early morning tee time using a GolfNow "Hot Rate", which was excellent value. There was no one on the course ahead of us, so we played at a good pace. The course was being prepared for a tournament in the afternoon, and the maintenance staff appeared to be more focused on their task to prepare the course, than acknowledging our twosome. Between the sounds of cutting equipment and gas carts, and the staff doing their work on many of the holes we were trying to play, it made for a very distracting round. This is an isolated incident, though it made for a poor experience for us. It also makes me think twice about what is happening on the course when "Hot Deals" are being offered. I shared our experience with the head pro when we finished the round and he appreciated the feedback, and was kind enough to invite us back. His offer was genuine, though with the competition in the area, we'll likely look elsewhere before returning.

This place is so full of itself. There are way to many Ontario courses then to place this one ever again. Oh and here a tip....bring your own GPS. There is none on the carts and there are no yardage markers anywhere. Only a few sprinkler heads if you can find em. You would think Iggy could afford a ball was station at the tee box...once again no.

The day we played the weather was cold and damp and yet we had a very enjoyable time. The fairways are quite firm even after the rain and the greens were smooth.

Love this course. It keeps you honest and your ego at bay. You really need to be accurate and realistic about your club selection.

The marshalls are always great. They'll give you any advice you need and will even chat with you on the tee box.

great course and enjoyable to play. If you get atleast 80% of your shots right you can score under 90.

I found the staff to be helpful and knowledgeable. Professional and ready to help at all times. I will for sure be playing this course again.

This course is picturesque and well maintained. It's a challenge for all skill levels.

It took us 5 hours and 20 minutes to play 18 holes. Several holes had 3 groups waiting to tee off. Not a good experience.
