Lionhead Golf and Country Club - Legends

Wouldn't play here if you shoot above 90. Won't enjoy your shelf and the pace of play at lionhead always a 5hr round .

We had a slow group in front of us that was not attended too and probably delayed us by 1 hour. Our foursome had to break up so to a twosome so we could get round in expected time.

Brutally Long Round. No marshals in sight. For a course that takes great care in shuttling everyone out in tedious order, there was no reason a twosome should have taken over 5 hours to play on a late Sunday afternoon.

Overall a good experience. Two areas for improvement would be: our T-time was 2:15 and Lionhead changed our reservation to 2:42 which we pushed to have changed but only got off at 2:35. Play was slow at 5 1/2 hrs. - a marshall was needed. We just finished pre-darkness.

For $99 plus tax they don't offer facilities. You have to pay extra for driving rang $10 for a small bucket. There mark up is more then any other course I've played, $9 dollar beers,$2.50 for a Toni coffee, $4.00 Gatorade, plus greens are patchy and ball marks everywhere, divots at all the tee boxes. A beautiful course that is most challenging.
Pace of play was slow (5:15) due to "carts only" rules in the AM (after significant rain the prior day). Regardless, I think that you should expect at least a 4:30 round here.
If you are more than an 18 HCP, you should play the other course, as you may find this one frustrating, slow down play for the other golfers, and not enjoy the game as much as you should.

Every club in the bag will be required with a premium paid for accuracy off the tee and approaches.

Took a long time to finish the round.. slow pace. course is in great shape and challenging.

Lionhead was a great course - the fairways were incredible, the greens quick and interesting. Pace was a little slow, and the course marshal took a bit of time to speed things up, but once he did, it was smooth sailing (f9 - 2.5 hrs, b9 - 2 hours). One complaint , and not about the course, is the general observation that just because you can afford to play Lionhead, doesn't mean you should. Both in terms of play and etiquette, there were far too many players who had no clue how to golf properly. Divots were not replaced, ball marks on greens not repaired - it was embarrassing. But the course itself was amazing.

Its a very tough course to play and very challenging

This course is a must play for all golfers. With 5 sets of tee blocks everyone can enjoy the journey through the credit valley.

Very challenging couse which is always in good shape even after the flood on the legends. Depending on your mood that day there are two courses, one tough and the other a bit easier but you can also play different tees makes thing alot easier depending on who you are playing with that day. I have played there quite often and never had a bad experience.

This course was in tip top shape. Had a colleague from England visiting and he thought every hole should have been in a magazine because it was so pleasing to the eye from the Blue Tees. The course is very well designed and gives you opportunities to play safe for bogey golf, but if you want be aggressive, you better have game because everything is strategically placed. The course basically ate him alive but he really respected a top level Canadian styled course like this one. This course on a beautiful summer day and blue skies from the back tees teeters on spectacular. I got a good deal so, that was worth it. Much harder than the Masters course they have.

Would play again using the golf now discounted rates.

If you're looking for a challenge, this course will provide all the water hazards, bunkers, rough patches and doglegs to keep your game sharp.

With so many excellent courses in the GTA, Iggy and his staff really need to rethink what they are charging golfers to play this course. Sorry......

The course and facility were as advertised. The Legends course layout, from the blue tee box, did not disappoint. Every hole has its own nuance to keep you alert to where you wish to place your next shot. The greens were running fast. Sure the course is beat up by golfers not repairing their divots and the greens are becoming butchered by massive amounts of non-repaired ball marks. I made it my policy to repair 2 additional marks per green beyond my own. I did enjoy my time with this course. I just wish more golfers would treat it with more respect. Definitely play this course.

Played last 2 holes through sprinklers. Plenty of light out and a few groups still behind us. No need for those to be on yet and for us to have to run in and out to quickly hit our ball to avoid getting soaked.

Nice course. The greens' are crazy hard, there are tons of water hazards and the rough is deep.

In spite of many positives, mainly course design and course conditioning, with pace of play in the 5 hour range this spoils the occassion. This course should be restricted to players who can handle a tough course.
