About
The Masters Course at Lionhead Golf & Country Club is ideal for golfers who don't feel they are prepared to take on the demanding Legends Course at the club, which has been ranked as one of the toughest courses in North America. The Masters layout is similar to golf courses in Florida, with unique bunkers and scenic ponds that meld perfectly with the rolling hills and wetlands that dot the scenic landscape. Its more traditional layout is considered the kinder and gentler of the two golf courses at Lionhead Golf & Country Club, but there are still a fair amount of challenges. The Masters course requires several long carries over water, particularly on the 16th. This infamous par 5 features a green surrounded by water.

Ok
Difficult course. Not in the best shape and very poor signage between holes. Very few level t boxes. Lots of blind shots.
Ok if you get a deal but not for standard prices
Good Course but not worth the money.
Haven’t played here in a few years. But I can say it definitely went downhill. Definitely not worth the $177 after taxes to play a round. Few areas were under construction. Lot of grounds not repaired. Driving range was off the mats. For $100 I’d come back but not for just under $180.
5 hour round…
It took us 5 hours and 15 minutes to get this round in. We finally saw a Marshall on 17 and asked him what was going on. He told me the average round is 4:48 and that we were about 15 minutes behind schedule. This is simply unacceptable at any golf course. I will never play here again.
Not worth the money
I played this course some 30 years ago and wanted to show a friend a top notch course. It has gone down hill since then.
I felt for the money I should have been treated much better. It was all business. When I got on cart , no card. It was difficult locating the first t. Signage not great. Also on course got lost once as the signage was not good.
The greens and fairways were not manicured as I remembered them.
It was a challenging course but experienced not great.
Classy course !
Playing at lions head was definitely a superior experience. Staff were crazy nice and the course was fun, but pretty challenging.

Great day for golf made it that much more enjoyable. Greens were fast and challenging. Course lay out is very deceiving you think it's going to be easier than it is but the challenge is around the greens.
