Lionhead Golf and Country Club - Masters

About
The Masters Course at Lionhead Golf & Country Club is ideal for golfers who don't feel they are prepared to take on the demanding Legends Course at the club, which has been ranked as one of the toughest courses in North America. The Masters layout is similar to golf courses in Florida, with unique bunkers and scenic ponds that meld perfectly with the rolling hills and wetlands that dot the scenic landscape. Its more traditional layout is considered the kinder and gentler of the two golf courses at Lionhead Golf & Country Club, but there are still a fair amount of challenges. The Masters course requires several long carries over water, particularly on the 16th. This infamous par 5 features a green surrounded by water.

5 hour round…
It took us 5 hours and 15 minutes to get this round in. We finally saw a Marshall on 17 and asked him what was going on. He told me the average round is 4:48 and that we were about 15 minutes behind schedule. This is simply unacceptable at any golf course. I will never play here again.
Not worth the money
I played this course some 30 years ago and wanted to show a friend a top notch course. It has gone down hill since then.
I felt for the money I should have been treated much better. It was all business. When I got on cart , no card. It was difficult locating the first t. Signage not great. Also on course got lost once as the signage was not good.
The greens and fairways were not manicured as I remembered them.
It was a challenging course but experienced not great.
Classy course !
Playing at lions head was definitely a superior experience. Staff were crazy nice and the course was fun, but pretty challenging.
Lionhead - Toronto
Great day for golf made it that much more enjoyable. Greens were fast and challenging. Course lay out is very deceiving you think it's going to be easier than it is but the challenge is around the greens.
Excellent Course
In great shape, very challenging…beautiful scenery…
The fairways & greens were fair considering this time of the year but some of the tee boxes were less than optimal. Signage for the next hole in terms of sign posts and labels on the cart paths was supposedly good but the paint of quite a few labels on the cart paths has faded so it might be difficult to navigate the course esp for first-timers. The starter/bag-drop staff was friendly & helpful.
Good for all golfers
Very good track. some challenging holes. Overall only lost 5 balls. Highly recommend.
Lionhead Masters
We played Lionhead Masters course today first out the 2 people that were supposed to play with us didn't show up in time the round took 3 1/2 hours course is in amazing condition my friend and I have decided that next year we will be back to play again .
3HR Front 9 & 2HR Back Nine
We recently played this course on a busy Saturday, the pace of play on both tracks was terrible. We started our round slightly behind schedule and proceeded to play the front 9 on the masters course at a pace of 20mins per hole. We notified the clubhouse who sent out a marshal to resolve the issue however he did not! The group ahead of us had a 1.5-2 hole gap from the group ahead of them and the marshal did not tell them to skip ahead a hole to resolve the congestion.
We finally took matters into our own hands and asked the slow group ahead of us to let us play through on 10. We then proceeded to play the back 9 in only 2 hours when the front nine took 3 hours to play.
The marshal on this course should be fired as he is not capable of doing his job correctly to resolve pace of play for all golfers on the course.
