Lionhead Golf and Country Club - Masters

About
The Masters Course at Lionhead Golf & Country Club is ideal for golfers who don't feel they are prepared to take on the demanding Legends Course at the club, which has been ranked as one of the toughest courses in North America. The Masters layout is similar to golf courses in Florida, with unique bunkers and scenic ponds that meld perfectly with the rolling hills and wetlands that dot the scenic landscape. Its more traditional layout is considered the kinder and gentler of the two golf courses at Lionhead Golf & Country Club, but there are still a fair amount of challenges. The Masters course requires several long carries over water, particularly on the 16th. This infamous par 5 features a green surrounded by water.

Good round of golf
Would recommend to those looking for a solid round of golf.
More than i'm used to paying, but worth it for the experience.beautiful course, beautiful day, and mybest game of the year
Beside busy with tournament
It was nice experience with few folks I was hooked with.
Funny guys....
Bunkers can be better ..no sand but hard sand...
Maintenance people should shut off there equipments when golfers are teeing off or putting..
No where to find the Marshall..
Nice course slow play
Great course in great shape. Greens were slow. Nice amenities. Good service. Pace too slow. No marshals on the course to get slow players moving so we ended up skipping a few holes. The tees offs should be more staggered as some of the course was empty and other areas were clogged with slow play. Easy to fix but no Marshall was around to ensure smooth pace of play. With a course this nice they need to balance pace. Would go back as course has always been fair and challenging.
Great golf day
Pat our starter was very friendly and offered great insight. The course was in amazing shape. Pace of play was relaxed Price was exceptional. Great value.
Pat is a character thanks for the feedback!
Good bang for the buck
Everything was satisfactory except they double booked out tee time so moved back by 20 minutes. Then that got screwed up and we finally teed off 20 minutes after our designated tee time. Outside of this the rest of the day was very good
Thanks we will pass along to the proshop to investigate!
Thanks
Lionhead Masters - My first Choice
Course is always in great shape. Somewhat challlenging especially #16 the Island hole.
The equipment is excellent working order and all fairly new condiition.
Staff friendly.
Thanks, 16 gets a few golf balls in the pond!
Thanks!
Slow Enough?
Slowest round of golf I have played in years. Almost 6 hours and we didn’t finish. We Left after the 17th hole. Bye bye Lionhead!
Sent to the Proshop, not good!
Value
Not worth the price for this time of the year, cart path only , poor drainage very soggy on almost every hole. There were maintenance staff on almost every hole. There were hardly any golfers, therefore good pace of play.
On the positive side, friendly staff at the restaurant.
We will take the positive and the negative! Thanks
Lionhead Masters Opening Day
The course and particularly the greens were in remarkable condition considering the winter we just had. The Masters course has a very good layout with plenty variety. Pace of play was perfect considering the number of golfers that were out. I have never before golfed a course that had big blocks of ice remaining from the winter. It made for good laughs in our foursome. In a months time this course will be a full 5 star rating.
Glad you enjoyed!
Great shape
Course is in great shape. Price was a little steap for mid October.
Nice day
Good layout Greens were soft and it seems that nobody repairs ball marks.
The public golf courses are struggling with educating all the golfers on fixing ball marks, divots, raking traps and general ettiquette. Nobody seems to fix anything anymore. Thanks for the feedback.
Will send to the Proshop as we have Marshals on the schedule till 8pm on both courses.
