Streetsville Glen Golf Club
About
Streetsville Glen Golf Club first opened in 1967, but major renovation in 2001 have updated this golf course, making it more player friendly while still keeping the challenges of the original layout in tact. With only 10 holes when first opening, eight newly designed, thought-provoking holes were added. The golf course is somewhat short but the wind that comes into play on the back nine makes it seem like it plays much longer. There are also well placed bunkers and water hazards coming into play throughout. Streetsville Glen Golf Club's signature hole is the long par-5 sixth, where an out-of-bounds down the entire left side and a pond on the right require shots to not only be long, but also straight.

You get what you pay for
Paid $25 to golf here...which also happened to be the cost of the cart rental. That says a lot.
Just wish they'd mow their lawn a little more. Trying to find your ball amidst a field of those white dandelion things was impossible. Also, the course layout is ridiculously hard to follow.
Not worth it....
Even paying the hot deal price of $17 was over priced for this coarse. No starter, no Marshall. Kaneff just waiting to plow this over for new sub-division.
Short course, bad shape
Significantly shorter than it used to be. No fairways to speak of. Ground is rock hard, even hitting from the rough is like concrete.
good to practice for putting & iron shot
I would like to better go to play at Streetsville Glen, instead gonna driving ranges. Because me & my wife spend more than $20 each at driving ranges. Both of us were a good to walk, and a good price of practice for putting & iron shot.
Watch the price
I would only play there if you got a great deal. Under 25.00. It is in terrible condition.i guess they are just waiting to close and build more houses..
time need to be better manage
marshals need to group up players to help in reducing wait time at time to slow
Okay at best
I really hated the layout of this course it was hard to navigate.
You get what you pay for!
From the lack of organization on the first tee (no starter) to the confusing/crashy layout (good luck finding the holes or next tees in some cases, to dodging adjacent holes missed shots this is indeed a course for non avid golfers!). We only paid $25 to play and it felt like too much considering the course condition and layout! Not recommended for someone looking for a real round of golf! We won;t be back to Streetsville Glen!
Worste coarse in GTA?
Is it the worste coarse in the GTA? I don't know but I can tell it's the worste that I have ever played. Grass conditions were beyond poor. Some places were swamp conditions I don't know how it hasn't rained in three days. Out of bounds areas were all unattractive weeded areas. Greens had bait patches and the coarse lay out just makes no sense at all. It's as if they crammed 18 holes where there should only be 12. In some places u r teeing off in the direction of other tee boxes or even greens where people r putting. I booked this 18 hole coarse on Golf now for $25 and I feel it was not worthwhile that money and I am not an extremely picky golfer.
Can't go wrong on Friday 4 pm tee off
Great Value for a course that you might be close too, if you are a novice or somewhere in that are you will enjoy your self with a feel good score at the end of the day !
the course has a poor layout
the woman at the pro shop was rude, she said because we paid Golfnow we have to wait for the tee time to start and asked how much I paid. We didn't' ask to start early.
There was a group of five in front of us and they allowed it. Too much tall grass all over the course.
Cheap but still not worth it
I've played at over 3 dozen courses in the past 5 years and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had golfing. I was not expecting much given the price I paid, but this course is not playable.
My biggest complaint was the pace of play. The course consists mostly of par 3s and yet 3.5 hours into the day we had barely started the back 9. We ended up quitting 4 hours in on the 13th hole because we were too frustrated from having to wait 30 minutes to start a hole.
Pros:
- Cheap
- Staff seemed friendly
Cons:
- Slowest pace of play I've ever seen
- The course itself is poorly laid-out and barely maintained.
-Many of the fairways are intertwined and there were several times where someone on a different hole hit a ball that landed within 10ft of me
- Fairways would be considered rough at any other course
- Not scenic and many holes are beside the highway or busy streets
Very bad course
I was very disappointed , right from my entry to the pro? shop. I had to find the guy to register. The course is in terrible condition keeping in mind the tough winter we went through, however it was bare in many areas and the greens where almost un-puttable. I only paid $20.00 and I guess I should have known from that.
It used to be a mid-level type course but now I would not recommend this to anyone!!
Murray Antram
Medicore, but cheap course
This course is no longer maintained very well, numerous dandilions, greens are very slow and sand traps are not well maintained. However, for the price you get what you pay for.
Over priced
Course is overpriced. Took longer than 5 hours and skipped 4 holes.
There were massive pools of water all over the course and it was really muddy.
Terrible course, terrible experience.
You get what ypu pay for
Streetsville isn't quite to form this year, the rough is very long and the fairways are pretty much indistinguishable from the rest of the course. The greens are in decent shape for the winter we had but the greens have never been amazing to begin with so temper your expectations.
By late-may to early-june I would Streetsville will be back into shape as a great beginner/intermediate course for practicing your short game.
Poor Course
Golf course condition is very bad. Par 4 is very short like 224 yd. And hole to next hole too far and not continue to next hole and we confuse.
Marshall did not do any marshalling
The course was in decent shape and the weather was amazing. Probably the first nice golf day of 2014.
When we hit off on hole 1, there was a group of about 6 (small family) ahead of us. We approached out 2nd shots and then saw this family on the green. The marshall came up and started explaining that they will let us play through (they better!), so once they finished hole 1, they waited for us on whole 2 and let us play through.
Once we got to hole 2, we hit off and immediately caught up to the twosome in front of us. We were a group of 3, and I guess we were a lot better than the people in front of us because we played on their heels the rest of the round. They never asked if we wanted to play through and every time we tried to ask them they drove off. The marshall came to us a couple times, but not to see if the play was going well. He usually had a random ball in his hand that he was asking if it was ours (very strange).
Anyways, not sure if I will be back their this summer. It is a very short course and probably good for beginners. The marshall, especially for a busy Sunday, needed to be doing a better job rather than searching for lost balls....
Good cheapy course
This is a good course to play if you are on a budget - especially cheap if you are walking. When we played yesterday the cart rental was half the cost of the entire round for two of us so walking is definitely a bargain here!
This is a Kaneff course but you wouldn't guess by looking at it. You get what you pay for and this is a cheap course. Fairways, greens and tee boxes can be in rough condition (I've played in the summer as well). The course is so compressed it can also be confusing to know which green you are teeing off onto at times.
The carts are in poor shape - I believe that they bring the worn out carts from the Kaneff premiere courses here to die.
Saying all that though I'll definitely go back when my wallet is feeling poor as you can't beat the price.
Convienient location, friendly staff, most of course in good shape.
Good short game course. Place for seniors and novice players,
Once you pass 16th hole without drowning you are ok , Lots of bird droppings on some holes. They need to make more deals with power cards included like other courses. Otherwise $25 deal plus $20 cart is almost like lion head deal and this is not lion head.
But I enjoy playing here at least once a week. And thanks for stopping of using electric cards - man that was an adventure to say the least.
