Streetsville Glen Golf Club
About
Streetsville Glen Golf Club first opened in 1967, but major renovation in 2001 have updated this golf course, making it more player friendly while still keeping the challenges of the original layout in tact. With only 10 holes when first opening, eight newly designed, thought-provoking holes were added. The golf course is somewhat short but the wind that comes into play on the back nine makes it seem like it plays much longer. There are also well placed bunkers and water hazards coming into play throughout. Streetsville Glen Golf Club's signature hole is the long par-5 sixth, where an out-of-bounds down the entire left side and a pond on the right require shots to not only be long, but also straight.

Only 4000 yards now...
Lost some yardage and some par 5's due to real estate development but skill a fun little track for the money. Well maintained and good staff.
Streetsville Glen
The fairways and greens are in fairly good shape with few brown spots apparent. The rough is not too deep in most places. The course has an interesting layout with some greens above the golfer's level and some below. Some areas could use some maintenance as it seems this course may be taken over by development. (The previous longer course had some of its area built on with large houses). A good little challenge that one can get around in fairly good time.
Condition of fairway
The fairway on most holes were hard need some attention , not to mention the geese droppings on both fairway and putting green on #8
Good Short game course
The course is a nice course especially to practice your short game. some of the holes are long but mostly an iron game. Fairways are hard to distinguish and the course layout is a bit of a zig zag and you can easily be in someone else fairway but over it was a nice course. Now that I have played it I won't be as confused on where to go and play next. Great value and the burgers are good!
You Get What You Pay For!
No marshals, no cart girl. Extremely confusing course...walked passed 15 & 16 from 13 to get to 14. Not worth the moeny...even if it's cheap.
I will not play this course ever again!
Yikes
Poor layout and disorganized course. People played our ball because we shared a fairway.
Decent Round
It was an okay round.
This is a short course, par 65 if I remember correctly. I shot in the mid 70's (which shouldn't happen# so needless to say it isn't all that challenging. The most difficult part of the course is finding your ball in the fields of dandelions #especially when they are in seed#.
The course is not in great condition I noticed very little difference between the rough and fairway. Greens were actually better than I expected.
This is a very busy course, as it is one of the cheapest in the GTA. If you are looking to play a quick round, play elsewhere. This is a course for beginners. The starter is great at explaining the course, but after that there seems to be little assistance on the course. At one point I was searching for my ball in a field of dandelions #approx. 130 yards from the green# and I was told by one of the marshals that I needed to drop a ball as I wasn't allowed to look for more than 4 minutes. Great, I understand the rules of golf, I had been looking for about a minute. In addition, the group in front of us was still on the green so I had I found it right away, I still would have been waiting.
The staff in the pro shop were great, as was the drink cart.
All in all, for most GTA players, this is a convenient and cheap round. I've gone back a couple times #its less then 5 minutes from my house) but only because of the location and cost. I wouldn't travel to play this course.
For new players.
Course is poorly maintained. However for the value of this course a new player who is starting to play 18 holes will have a great experience in preparing themselves for better courses. Seasoned golfers will not enjoy themselves on a course this poorly outlined and maintained.
It's a golf course; it gets the job done but...
You've got to have low expectations when playing this course! On the first hole, we hit the "fairway" only to spend close to 5+ minutes trying to find our balls among the high grass!
Chipping from the rough is also a challenge, given how poor the conditions are!
There were no marshals enforcing pace of play so for an executive course, the fact it took 5+ hours to complete kind of sums up the overall experience in a nutshell.
If you want to "warm up" prior to a real round or play with beginner golfers (ie. mother, grandparents, kids, girlfriend, etc.), then this would be the only way I would recommend this course to others! It gets the job done; that's the only slightly positive thing I have to say about this course.
You get what you pay for
Paid $25 to golf here...which also happened to be the cost of the cart rental. That says a lot.
Just wish they'd mow their lawn a little more. Trying to find your ball amidst a field of those white dandelion things was impossible. Also, the course layout is ridiculously hard to follow.
Not worth it....
Even paying the hot deal price of $17 was over priced for this coarse. No starter, no Marshall. Kaneff just waiting to plow this over for new sub-division.
Short course, bad shape
Significantly shorter than it used to be. No fairways to speak of. Ground is rock hard, even hitting from the rough is like concrete.
good to practice for putting & iron shot
I would like to better go to play at Streetsville Glen, instead gonna driving ranges. Because me & my wife spend more than $20 each at driving ranges. Both of us were a good to walk, and a good price of practice for putting & iron shot.
Watch the price
I would only play there if you got a great deal. Under 25.00. It is in terrible condition.i guess they are just waiting to close and build more houses..
time need to be better manage
marshals need to group up players to help in reducing wait time at time to slow
Okay at best
I really hated the layout of this course it was hard to navigate.
You get what you pay for!
From the lack of organization on the first tee (no starter) to the confusing/crashy layout (good luck finding the holes or next tees in some cases, to dodging adjacent holes missed shots this is indeed a course for non avid golfers!). We only paid $25 to play and it felt like too much considering the course condition and layout! Not recommended for someone looking for a real round of golf! We won;t be back to Streetsville Glen!
Worste coarse in GTA?
Is it the worste coarse in the GTA? I don't know but I can tell it's the worste that I have ever played. Grass conditions were beyond poor. Some places were swamp conditions I don't know how it hasn't rained in three days. Out of bounds areas were all unattractive weeded areas. Greens had bait patches and the coarse lay out just makes no sense at all. It's as if they crammed 18 holes where there should only be 12. In some places u r teeing off in the direction of other tee boxes or even greens where people r putting. I booked this 18 hole coarse on Golf now for $25 and I feel it was not worthwhile that money and I am not an extremely picky golfer.
Can't go wrong on Friday 4 pm tee off
Great Value for a course that you might be close too, if you are a novice or somewhere in that are you will enjoy your self with a feel good score at the end of the day !
