Savannah Golf Links
About
Sprawling across rolling terrain, Savannah Golf Links features several dramatic elevation changes and several elevated tees and greens. Golfers will be sure to come across many uneven lies. At 6,213 yards from the back tees, it is not a long golf course but it puts a premium on accuracy in order to get a good store, making it a true shot-maker's golf course. Savannah Golf Links offers a variety of challenges, appealing to both low and high handicappers. The most notably difficult hole is the par-4 sixth. This 362-yard hole is a dogleg right with a small landing area that requires a second shot that will carry over water to a postage stamp green with a bunker placed in front.

blustery day on the links
Savannah is an interesting array of holes with lots of elevation changes ,sand water, gorse and slopey fast greens. Very pretty views all around I highly recommend this course!!
good little course but tricky
First time playing it is a little tricky (as with any course I suppose).
We took the advise and played from the blue tees (5900 yds versus gold at 6300 yrds).
Course is well maintained. Hilly. But actually enjoyable.
It is 45 minute drive for me. If it was 1/2 the distance I would be there more often.
Nice touch is the water coolers out on the course.

Thoroughly enjoyable
Although not overly long, 5900 yards from the blue tees, Savannah is a good test. The course is visually beautiful, tight in spots and requires careful attention to club selection and shot placement. Gave a three on course conditions only because the greens were aerated and sanded, tough to get a true roll but otherwise the course was in great condition. When the fruit is ripe and falling off the trees watch out for the wasps!
Super Hot Day
Nice course layout, couple of greens a bit thin, overall in good shape, bordering on excellent shape but not quite there. On a 33 deg day no cart person, unheard of on a upscale course like this. We were backed up from the 2nd hole on. Had a ho deal so value was good for us.
A Hot Day for Some Great Golf
A couple we enjoy playing with joined us for their first experience at Savannah. The day was quite hot and we had a afternoon tee time. The course was is great shape yet a few greens were a little chewed up by the lack of ball mark repairs. The marshall on duty was doing his best to repair as he went around the course.
this course is a great challenge a definately a shot makers course. You have to plan wisely to be successful. Our friends enjoyed playing and we will all be back to enjoy another round.
Neat Cambridge Course
Have played Savannah in previous seasons but don't remember the course being in such good shape as I experienced in my recent outing
The fairways were immaculate, the bunkers were well maintained and the fast paced greens rolled true. Although not a long track (6200), Savannah has a number of challenging holes especially on the front nine which plays considerably harder than the back. The par 5 second stretches to 590 from the blues and the par 4 eighth challenges the golfer from the tee with a pond on the left and a steep hillside on the right of the fairway. The greens are large and many of them are elevated and slope severely from back to front.
Two of my favourite holes are the downhill right-angled dogleg par 4 fourth which offers a panoramic view of the Cambridge countryside from the back of the tee and the risk, reward driveable par 4 fifteenth where the tee is set in a grove of trees high above the fairway.
The clubhouse perched on a hill offers a great view of the course from the porch.
Very Good $ Value ....
This was my first opportunity at Savannah this year. I usually play it an average of six times annually.
The courses challenges players of all abilities.
As always the course was in very good shape although a few bunkers could use some "TLC".
If you watch their specials or Golf Now you cannot beat the dollar value provided.
Enjoy!
Good value...but
course was in good condition overall, greens where just average speed, bunkers could have used a little more sand, and the 4 some two groups up needed to be marshaled, finally let the 2 some go thru on 10. The course is challenging, and always enjoy playing here.
A good test of golf for the money
It's more about course management then it is about sheer power. A good test for all the clubs you carry in your bag.
Great to be back after a decade or more...
Well worth the drive to Cambridge (coming from the GTA). Course was even better than I remembered from long ago. Great conditions, wonderful scenery, and a good mixture of different types of holes, elevation changes, etc.
A Great Value and One Of the Best Layouts Around
Have played here 3 or 4 times every year for the past 5 years and never disappointed. Greens are tough with lots of undulations but true.
Has to be one if the best layouts and most scenic public courses in the area. I drive 1.5 hours to get there otherwise I would play it every weekend. You won't be disappointed playing here.
Mid-week round
Very picturesque & challenging course. A well struck tee shot will funnel into the middle of the farirway, setting up a good scoring chance of your next shot. Anything off the second cut is usually a lost ball as the rough is very dense.
Challenging greens require good placement to ensure two puts or less.
As the course is a series of undulating hills, a cart is required for anyone with mobility challenges.
There is no beverage cart during the week so you have two choices; bring your own refreshments or grab something at the the halfway house.
This was my second time playing this course and I would certainly play it again if the price is right.
Note: Construction on roads leading to the course make your most difficult drives the ones to & from the course!
unexpected
This course is not a course for the average golfer such as myself. It demands precise course mamagement skills to score well here. It is a very beautiful course but i myself need to be a better player before i play it again. It is not a long course but it is a tight course.
Good track
Very scenic and a good variety of holes.
Staff friendly and course in good shape.
Walkable if your reasonably fit.
Great bang for your buck
Always been a fan of savannah.
Shorter course but lots of unique challenging holes.
Great course if you have ball control
Course was in great shape with some challenging holes.Greens were in excellent shape and play moved along very nice.
Great value
Course was in pretty decent condition considering we're only 2 weeks in. Although, 4-5 holes had "gravel" in the fairways... Not sure if that was due to the way it was aerated or from winter protection - but wasn't great to swing out of.
Overall a nice course, especially for the price.
parker
Excellent. Highly recommended. Course is in great shape. Tough course if you are not playing once a week.
amazing
you would have thought you were playing in july, not just the weather but the course was in fantastic condition. just like mid season!
Waaayyy too slow
The round took over 4.5 hours to complete. Marshal tried to be helpful after 9 holes and the ace picked up a bit.
