Savannah Golf Links
About
Sprawling across rolling terrain, Savannah Golf Links features several dramatic elevation changes and several elevated tees and greens. Golfers will be sure to come across many uneven lies. At 6,213 yards from the back tees, it is not a long golf course but it puts a premium on accuracy in order to get a good store, making it a true shot-maker's golf course. Savannah Golf Links offers a variety of challenges, appealing to both low and high handicappers. The most notably difficult hole is the par-4 sixth. This 362-yard hole is a dogleg right with a small landing area that requires a second shot that will carry over water to a postage stamp green with a bunker placed in front.

Wonderful course, but overbooked
I've played this course many times and really enjoy it, however on Saturday it was a different story ...
Unable to finish because play was too slow. Would have been a 6 hour round. Spoke with mgr. Was told to play the front 9 twice since the back was so slow
Not too long but vert tight in many spots so very challenging
nice friendly staff , good tough course.....I play this course about 3 x per year and love every round.
short but challeging
Great course for the money and very friendly staff
Great Course
A very good course to play, I look forward to playing it again! The course is in great shape.
Picturistic & Hilly Golf Course
Friendly staff made us feel welcome. Course in good condition for this time of the year. Lots of elevations, some water carry, makes this course somewhat challenging.
Savannah Links
Not a long course, but good natural toughness!
Great condition for early in t he year.
Savannah Golf Links
Always fun to play. Good scoring holes and still challenging. If you stray you pay in strokes.
Staff very friendly. Starter greets you as a friend, on course Marshall keeps pace of play reasonable and wishes you well.
I strongly recommend this course - very senior friendly.
Amazing Value
The course is in amazing shape considering the winter we had. Some greens are still working to come back, but very few and the rest of the course is excellent. One of the nicest courses naturally without all kinds of man made features. For the quality of the course, it's the cheapest around. Best value course anywhere by far. Awesome course and affordable.
Very nice course - well worth the play
This is a very nice course, played it 4 days after it opened after the long winter. The course was in very good shape, fairways dry and greens is good shape - there was a bit of standing water on a couple holes after the winter thaw. Lots of ponds and sand in play and greens are challenging with lots of movement. A definite replay in the summer
Great value for the money!
We must have got on the course at a good time as we paid under $25 per round (walking) so it was great value. The greens were a little shoddy and the girl in the bar could have been a bit friendlier but, other than that, it was a really good experience. It was challenging enough (narrow fairways) and fairways were in great shape.
An enjoyable day at a good price
We did the Whacky Wednesday special at $50 a person all you can golf with a cart and $10 food chip. We had a great time, the pace was awesome we were 4 hours including stopping for lunch. I would play here again in a minute
you get what you pay for
we arrived at the course early. the had a tournament going on and no cart could be provided. after having lunch, cart were available and we were told to see the starter. he advised that we could go anytime. we teed off and after a few holes noticed that we were in the middle of a tournament, 4 man scramble. we waited at every shot. we do not understand why a course, any golf course, would put a twosome, in the middle of a tourney. we mentioned it after the round, but no one seem to care. as my wife said, cute course, but not worth it, if this is the way people are treated.
very nice layout and great views from the top of the hills
The course is great to play, normally, but our tee time was right in the middle of a "best ball tournament" that really slowed things down. Our group and the 2 groups behind us and the group in front of us had to wait for these 'slowpokes" at least 10 minutes on each fairway shot, and 15 minutes at each Tee shot. They thought they were long hitters because they waited so long, and we only saw the marshal once, not till the 11th hole. Next time I'll see if there's any tournaments before we book. Frustrated! I'll recommend this only if there's no tournaments on the play day.
A beautiful, challenging course for much less than you'd expect!
I try to get out to Savannah at least once a year, and every time is a treat! Some holes can be very unforgiving to a misplaced shot, but the course is a beautiful, well designed and well maintained gem, so we don't worry too much about our scores and just enjoy the scenic, northern style beauty surrounding us on every hole. It's hard to believe it's right in Cambridge, as you really tend to forget you're in town and start to imagine you're up in the Muskokas somewhere.
Our GolfNow deal gave us two 18 hole mid-afternoon green fees with a power cart for less than $60 including tax! Any other course of this calibre would have one walking fee at that price! It's great to see Savannah take part in offering players more economical ways to enjoy such an enjoyable course! Will definitely keep an eye out for more GolfNow deals at Savannah!
Great deal
This is a very good test of links golf. Long and hilly with very few even lies.
Worth playing but too many trick holes
Course was fun to play, but there are a number of what I would call trick holes where you have a blind shot with an iron off the tee.
Great day for golf
The golf course was in great shape. It wasn't busy and the starter let us off 1/2 hour early on a Friday afternoon. We never waited to hit until we caught up to another group on the back nine. Total playing time was around 4 hours. Unfortunately the course pulled the refreshment cart off early and we never got a chance to get a drink until we stopped at the half way house. When we finished our round we were going to go in the club house for a bite and a drink but they closed at 8:00 pm on a Friday evening. This seemed a bit early to be shutting down. Other than that everything else was great.
Course was in great shape bar a few greens
The course was in very good shape a few green are being repaired
This course has great features!!
A number of greens had vandal damage which spoiled the round a little. also a lot of spike marks - perhaps someone with metal spikes?? But the course is real good - lot of challenges if hitting off the mark!!
