Sprawling across rolling terrain, Savannah Golf Links features several dramatic elevation changes and several elevated tees and greens. Golfers will be sure to come across many uneven lies. At 6,213 yards from the back tees, it is not a long golf course but it puts a premium on accuracy in order to get a good store, making it a true shot-maker's golf course. Savannah Golf Links offers a variety of challenges, appealing to both low and high handicappers. The most notably difficult hole is the par-4 sixth. This 362-yard hole is a dogleg right with a small landing area that requires a second shot that will carry over water to a postage stamp green with a bunker placed in front.

From a course perspective; this is a great golf course however for the money and the golf experience this is not a course I would play again. Play this course a couple times each year and most of the time I experience the same issue where golfers are not following golf etiquette and nobody is on the course ensuring that etiquette is followed.
By the 6th hold we caught the group in front of us who were always catching the group in front of them. None of the players in any of the 3 groups were great golfers and we were playing par to slightly above par golf. By the 9th hole there was almost always 3 groups of golfers on the tees waiting for the playign group to clear the fairway. We may have been playing according to the course time but the golf experience was not a positive one.
An email to the course was essentially dismissed. Apparently the Marshall was on the course all day and was ensuring speed of play was observed. 18 holes and 3 groups never once a Marshall. Not a course I will be returning to.

Played the course many times. Just gets better and better every year.
This is a fun course to play.
I found the pace of play a little slow. I like to play in 4hr.-20min. or less. The course is kept in reasonably good shape. Proper club selection off the tees on some of the shorter par fours is recommended if you want to avoid strategically placed hazards while still leaving a relatively short iron into the green. Beware of the seventh green. This green has a severe back to front, left to right slope. Long putts from above the hole can go off the green if you're not careful.
Excellent Value
A true shot makers and thinking man's golf course. Multiple tees will test golfers of of every caliber. Very scenic and and excellent price for a short drive!
