About
This is a 36-hole city-owned operation that features one of Austin's best muni tracks, the Roy Kizer Golf Course, which complements the 1970s Jimmy Clay layout.
Austin's old water treatment facility was transformed by Randy Russell, who had more than 80 acres of lakes and marshland at his disposal when he laid out the 200-acre site. Russell's links-style design is flat, burdened by the wind, and loaded with bunkers. The toughest par is No. 11, which rolls 468 yards into the wind and is shamefully listed as a par 4. Take your bogey on No. 11.

Great Course for Scoring
This is a fairly open course with not many hazards to worry about. Great scoring course if you need a pick me up. The course is in the nicest condition that I’ve seen it over the last five years right now.
One of my favorites In Austin.
I have nothing bad to say about this course. Everything , when I’m there at least is always in great condition and consistently well maintained. Pace of play on weekdays is always smooth.
Sometimes the staff is grumpy or acts annoyed. Other than that , the course is a great bang for your buck.

Played early, grass was just cut and little problematic, but enjoyed the course, would play again.

Great course! Lousy and RUDE staff!!
Staff in pro shop was incredibly rude and obnoxious, as was the “Marshall”. Course conditions are great right now though.
Bombs away
Super fun, super playable muni. Lot of fun shots. Love courses where you can hit a bad shot and still have a good chance at bogey. Most fun I’ve had on a golf course in awhile. Staff was great.

It is challenging and rewarding for all levels. The course has a great lay out as well. The condition for a public course is excellent. Very well maintained. I would highly recommend.
