Risk Vs Reward from White Tee
Course is in an excellent condition. Pin locations are tricky. Need to play with strategy because Driver doesn't work on all Par 4s & 5s. Greens are fast & undulating. Lots of bunkers and many holes has water comes into play. Course is easy for those who can put the ball in fairway. Worth playing it.
Very nice course
Course was well maintained. Good challenge. Beautiful layout with very receptive greens.
One of the best courses in the area. A little pricey.
Worth the price.
Excellent course in great condition. Front and back different significantly. Front is wide open where you can spray a bit. Back is tighter with more tree lined holes and some fescue. Large undulating greens in great condition. Don’t walk as there are long stretches between several greens and tees. More expensive than most alternatives but worth it.
Fun day on Beautiful Course
This course is in fantastic condition. The starter etc. were extremely friendly and helpful. They made each golfer feel very special. The back nine started out more difficult and for first time golfers a better map on the scorecard would have helped. You had to exit the fairway quite a bit before the green which was not convenient and slowed up play but it did keep the course in fantastic condition. The greens were huge and beautiful. Our food afterwards in the grill was super good.
Wetvday
Course is amazing, I was only advised of cart paths only at the first tee. Not good I would rather walk in situations like that.
Grand Niagara Experience
I used an UnderPar coupon for my first round at Grand Niagara. The course is a gem to play. It was a sunny, warm but windy day, with gusts close to 30 km/hr. If you hit fairways and greens, your only challenge will navigating be the speed and contour of the greens. I hit it all over, so getting out of bunkers and staying away from water will give mid-handicap players tee jitters!
It's best to take a cart with this layout, as there is quite a distance between certain tees. They have paved cart paths and the ride is smooth in the electric carts. The cart girl comes around regularly as well.
The course is in immaculate state, with beautifully cut tee boxes, fairways and the greens cut right down. The ball rolls true on the green, but with subtle breaks it becomes a great challenge to keep the 3 putts down. But don't forget the speed!
Staff were friendly and approachable. A great experience and a must play if you are in the Niagara region!
Very Good Course
Course layout is fantastic, course was in very good shape.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Best course in Niagara area
What an amazing day at the course. Beautiful sunny day, slight breeze and an immaculate conditioned golf course. One of the best golfing experiences I have ever had. The course is beautifully laid out, carpet fairways, strategically placed bunkers, eye catching water hazards and challenging greens make this course a pleasure to play. 10 out of 10..planning to return very soon.
Best course in Niagara
Played early morning on a Monday as a 3 ball and got round in 3 hours.
Greens were pristine, despite the fact that it rain very hard just before we played. They were still fast too. I’d think maybe 11 on the stump.
My only fault of the course would be the bunkers - although the rain didn’t help matters, they didn’t have too much sand in them. Perhaps I need more practise from those kind of traps ;-)
I would highly recommend this course to anyone in the area - for 90 bucks it really is a steal.
Unfriendly staff
We booked through golf now the evening before for a 7:10am tee time. Once I arrived to check in the pro shop employee said that my reservation wasn’t showing up. Him as well as a starter began to question me. I had to run all the way back to my car to prove I had the confirmation. They then sent us off immediately and paired us with two older gentleman that were walking. Myself and my partner (5 handicap) were told by the gentleman to play thru on the second hole. Round was going quick and smoothly until we approached the 7th green. We noticed that there was no flag on the green and that it was off to the side (this is the second time this year in two visits this has happened) we proceeded to finish the hole. Then 8th and 9th green... same result... no flag. We approached staff in the pro shop on the turn and they reported to us that “we are moving too quick and we need to slow down our pace of play”. I questioned “why have tee times before 7:30 if maintenance staff was unable to keep up with the flags, green” they just repeated that we had to slow down and let them do their job. We both stormed out with a lot of frustration to the rude, ignorant staff. As we were driving to the 10th tee, I was told by the starter that we shouldn’t have separated from the two older gentleman that let us thru “the flags would have been all ready if you stayed with them”.
In conclusion:
1) Start off not being on tee sheet having to deal with rude pro shop employee/ starter
2) Pairing us with two gentleman that were booked on the tee time after us
3) not having flags in holes 7,8,9... this was the second time in two visits this has happened
Grand Niagara
Staff were amazing right from the moment you drop your bag off. Pace of play was great. Well spaced out. Course sets up nice for you to have to use every club in your bag. (Played from golds). Will definitely be going back on my next trip to Niagara area
Awesome Course
My wife and I played this wonderful golf course today. From start to finish everything was great. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The course conditions were excellent.
The course itself is a fair challenge. We left a few strokes out there as it was our first time, but will return. I would recommend this course any day.
Greed Rules
I booked a 1:30 pm tee time for this day not knowing there is a shotgun start at 1 pm. There was no notification on Golf Now or in the Pro Shop. The course should not have had times open that close to the shotgun start. We caught the last group on #4. The rest of the day was slow as heck. Why didn't the groups start earlier or not have times after the shotgun start? GREED!!!!!
I am very disappointed in Grand Niagara.
Won't go back for some time. Garbage course management.
