Course is laid out very well
Course is challenging and blends in with the land features very well. The sand traps were flooded out because of all of the over night rain.Doesn,t look like the course drains very well.Over all a very nice experience.Af
best public course in niagara
I enjoyed this course immensely. No matter how busy it is you always feel like you're the only one on the course at all times.
Tee boxes were true and well kept. Fairways were like carpet.
the greens play just like you would imagine a PGA course would.
Challenging links style course.
Beautifully challenging links style course. Course is in pristine condition.
Deep bunkers protecting the greens make for a challenging approach shot.
Perfect
This course is so wonderful. Out in nowhere but so good.
Perfect if you visit the Niagara falls.
Great condition and fun too play
awesome course, well maintained fairways, greens are good.
very picturesque and well maintained. Greens are tough read with ondulations. Super course.
Pristine conditions and fun course layout.
For a September round in Ontario the course was in pristine condition. The greens were quick, but not lighting, and very receptive to attacking the pins on approach shots. The course has a great layout, and plays well to golfers of all skill levels and distance. Our group was split on both skill and distance but the tee block offerings 6400 - 7400 yds, and receptive fairways from the tees mixed with smaller well guarded greens meant everyone had a great time playing the course. Would highly recommend giving this course a try.
Loved it
Absolutely amazing golf course.Conditions were perfect and staff couldn't do enough for me.
Tough course, quite well maintained, not a great clubhouse
Thought this course was quite good. It's pretty open but lots of fescue means you will pay for errant shots. The holes are very well designed with the need to shape a lot of balls. The bunkers are plentiful and well placed. The greens are also really well laid out, often with double breaks.
The course was in pretty good shape given the recent weather. Only a few brown patches on greens and soggy fairway patches.
The clubhouse is very basic. Limited food options. But the staff is very friendly and helpful.
It's definitely overpriced at $100 though as you can get much better deals in the Niagara region.
A must play
This golf course might be the best in the Niagara Region. Exceptionally maintained with really nice quick greens.
overpriced when compared
It is an excellent course, don't get me wrong. Compared with other courses in the area and their prices I.e Thundering Waters, the course is not worth the extra money. Small things- can't get food earlier (we went through to the tenth at 10:50), no GPS.
great
the course was in excellent shape even after a night of heavy rain.
great value.
Beautifully laid out and picturesque well maintained.
As soon as you arrive the starters make you feel very welcome and are extremely helpful.
Great variety of holes
Great place to play , we were early and also got an early start which ended up with no one in front and a foursome a few holes behind us.
Fantastic conditions. Very challenging and fun.
Really friendly staff, lots of great challenging holes.
Very Nice Course
Played from the gold tees. About 6900 yards. A little out of my league but I managed okay.
Greens were as fast as I have ever played in my life. 5 foot downhill birdie put that I hit about 6 inches left me a 4 foot par putt back up the hill.
Nothing spectacular about the scenery but the course played well. They should put in a few flower beds near tee boxes just to add some color.
Great course. If it was a little less money I would play it more often.
Brilliant
One of those courses that, having played it,you will never forget it. Absolutely pristine fairways, lots of sand and water, undulating greens that hold the ball, great variety of challenges. Risk/reward factor comes into play on many holes. Difficult but fair course. Choose your set of tee blocks wisely based on the length of the course. Hole 11 is the only anomaly-just seemed like they ran out of real estate and plopped in a 100-112 yd. hole. But that's a small quibble when there are 17 other holes that make you use every club in the bag. Most enjoyable round I've played in over a year.
Super track and a great deal!
I have played Grand Niagara before but it rained both times so the course was soggy and played extremely long from the back tees (7400 yards). We teed off at 2:40 on a Monday and enjoyed great pace of play and beautiful course conditions. The course was nice and firm, allowing tee shots to roll out. Greens were receptive, smooth, and a manageable pace. Tee decks are billiard-table flat and tight - just perfect. Bunkers were well maintained. Driving range facilities were nice, with turf conditions similar to those on the course. Service by proshop, starters, and beverage cart was friendly and efficient. For $48 on a golfnow hot deal, including cart and range balls, this was too good to pass up. Highly recommended, especially at this price.
Grand Niagara
Course had weathered a big rain storm night before, fairways we wet & bunkers full of water but the greens were in excellent shape rolling fast and true.
Great value at reduced rate although normal fee is high.
Great layout with a lot of risk reward shots.
In my opinion, nicest course in Niagara.
