Legends on the Niagara Golf Course - Battlefield

The course was in great condition and it requires that you be able to work and place your ball in order to get in good scoring positions. The staff were great but they were not on top of slow groups. We were a group of two riding and it took us almost 5 hours to play - though I would place most of that blame on the group in front of us. We would wait for them on every tee even after we slow our play purposely. Other than that I will definitely be back.

We were looking forward to playing this course and it was in good condition and well worth the money we paid, however, being the long weekend it was very clear the course was out to make as much money as possible by cramming in as many golfers on the course as possible. Its understandable everyone wants to take advantage of getting on the course again in the Spring but 5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes was ridiculous. We literally waited at every tee for at least 5 minutes and sometimes longer before we could tee off. Then we would have to wait again on the fairway before we could continue playing each hole. Several times there would be a group on the green, a group mid point on the fairway and another group at the tee when we would arrive to play each hole. Although the price was good, I doubt I would go back for fear we would face another 5 or 6 hour game.

It must have been the cool temperatures, but when I arrived for my 10:09 tee time, the course was deserted. I usually come early and take advantage of the excellent driving range. I arrived at 8:30 and when I saw there were few players I asked if I could go out early. The staff were very friendly and said go ahead. The starter told me there was a group about 15 minutes ahead of me. I took my time and caught them on the 3rd hole and they let me play through on the Par 3. After that I had the whole course to myself. It was in excellent condition and
I was able to get my round in. I could play at a leisurely pace and the weather warmed up to a great golfing temperature. I have played both Ushers creek and Battlefield several times but my playing partner had a knee replaced on the previous day. I plan on playing here again.
Also I like to "Play it forward" and like a 6000 yard distance. I played 1,2,4, 9, 12, 18 from the Red Tees and the rest from the Whites, that is exactly 6010 yds. I had to work that out ahead of time on my own at home. I think more courses should adopt the hybrid style card. Several of the Florida courses I play have them and they are great for Seniors who still have a little game left.
A very enjoyable day for sure.

Course was in very good shape...rough is tough. Staff was excellent, got us out a little earlier than booked time.

Rates for pre high season very good value and worth the 1 hour drive from Oakville.
Fairways are in decent shape, greens are still only medium, not up to mid season speed.

Course is a great course for all levels.
Fairways and greens at this of of year were excellent.
Bunkers were a little damp.
Need Marshals to ride around more to keep golfers
at a steady pace.

The Legends Ussher's Creek course offers excellent value for a challenging and diverse round of golf. From the blue tees the course is about 6600 yds and provides a challenge to new and experienced golfers alike.
There are sufficient hazards to test you but the fairways and greens are, for the most part, easily accessed with a good shot. There is an excellent mix of tree lined and open fairways and greens that will offer you the chance to test your skill reading the breaks.
It's a great round of golf on a sunny day!

Course was good but greens were a bit slow. Im used to playing fast greens

The course was in good shape and the greens were lightning fast. I suggest lag putting to save par rather than 3 putting for bogie. Round was fast too. 3 hours and 10 minutes for a twosome. I like that

Although the course was a little dry, it's in excellent shape. Greens are above average in speed, rolling nicely. Fairways and tees are lush and soft. Generous fairways and landing areas but plenty of bunkers. Always seems to be 1 more club than you think. Nice challenge with lots of variety, birdies are there to be found. Strong par 3's, nice par 5's and some short par 4's. Keeps your focus for 18 holes, if not big #'s can be had. Really nice course where a good score can be had even in the wind.

I have this course several times and it is usually in fantastic shape as it was this time. It is challenging enough for most levels of golfers and especially an intermediate one like myself.

Course was in excellent condition from tee to green. Cart girl around regularly. Pace was very good for first
10 holes. All in all a most enjoyable golf course.

Excellent value.Course in excellent shape for the time of year.Sand traps in great condition.Played as a twosome and less than four hours to complete the round.One of our favorite courses in the Niagara Region and would recommend to everyone.

Perfect weather, golf course was wide open for twilight. Greens were a little slower than expected but overall course in great shape for this time of year. Minimal fescue growth was nice and made the course a bit easier but still a good test from the blue tees. Number 9 and 18 have great views coming into the clubhouse and play very tough. Would recommend.

Went on Golfnow and we got 18 holes at 12:30 pm on Thursday May 7th, 2015. Everything was great, especially the price. $30 for 18 with a cart. That price was not available thruout the day.
We were lucky. I was just surfing Golfnow and stumbled upon that course/time/price.

The course was in pretty good shape considering it was still early in the season.
Staff were friendly and helpful.

My wife and I took another couple to play Battlefield for the first time, We all loved it and will play there again after we try some other courses first. Great value!

Solid course. Nobody in front of us made it feel like we had it to ourselves. Was a little late because of traffic and they had no problem moving my tee time back.

The greens here were in the best shape of any course played so far this year. Pleasantly surprised. Excellent value with the deals offered.
