Legends on the Niagara Golf Course - Battlefield
About
Legends on the Niagara is home to several entertaining golf courses that appeal to players of all skill levels, This unique complex is home to two championship golf courses, a nine-hole course, and a unique 18-hole putting course. The Battlefield Course is one of the 18-hole, championship courses, so named because of the facility's location on the hallowed grounds of the legendary Battle of Chippewa during the War of 1812. The layout features an impressive man-made lake that spans nearly 20 acres and comes into play on at least four holes. The 13th hole is particularly notable for its spectacular view of Niagara Falls in the distance.

Very difficult course
A very challenging set up to this course that will test your tee to green play and short game.
Local knowledge is a premium. Many bunkers come into play on tee shots and on seconds shots as well yet there are fat sides to the fairways if you are familiar to the lines and yardages.
Fairways were wet today and the greens were patchy in many areas however the ball still rolled well and not as fast as in past years. Lots of movements on short putts.
A stern test.
Wonderful course first thing in the morning!
Really enjoyed our round as the weather cooperated for a 8am teeoff in September. Course in great shape and pace of play was good despite a beginner playing 3 balls in front of us.
Not the place for a twosome......
If you don't mind waiting on every shot and spending close to 5 hours on the course then this is the course for you!
The course is demanding, course is in wonderful shape and is good value for the money but is painfully slow play for a twosome......the pace is fine for a foursome.
My wife and I will play other courses in the future in and around Niagara Falls instead.
always great
greens are lighting fast.Bunkers in great shape.Played our round very quick.Starters and clubhouse staff very friendly.
Disappointed for the $$$
fairway bunkers were rock hard, standing water on the course, saw cart girl once in 18 holes. on a positive the greens were fantastic.
course has lots of variety
course was in great condition, pleasure to deal with the people here, we were paired with younger twosome, high handicappers and still finished in 4 hours, really tough to beat this place.
Sunday morning
Cool to start but weather improved as day progressed. Course was wet and played long but was in excellent condition. Bunkers were well kept with plenty of sand, and played consistent hole to hole.
Battlefield
The course was amazing. Not worth full price but, at the GolfNow value, totally!! The staff was great and the other golfers we talked to were friendly. A fantastic experience.
Great Golf Challenge
Hello,
I arrived at the Legends on the Niagara 40 minutes before my tee time approximately, and I went directly to the pro shop.
They friendly greeted me, by full time staffer Kevin, who knew me by my first name. He proceeded to hand me my green fee ticket, without me having to say a word. I thanked him very much, and he continued...for me to have a good game.
I got my cart and proceeded to the 360% driving range, with balls supplied to use for the golfers. I mentioned when I got my golf cart, if I could get out earlier, that would be great, as I had another appointment that day.
The course was in perfect shape, the fairways were lush and gently rolling, dotted with strategically placed bunkers, both fairway, and the green side.
The fairways I found to be challenging on some holes and more generous on other holes.
The greens were in terrific shape, and I do not know a lot about the stempmeter, but I would say the greens rolled around 14-15, but the greens at the same token were very true.
And when I struck the ball well, I made most of my short putts, and the occasional longer putt.
The round played in a very reasonable time playing, I never had to wait more than a couple of minutes on a couple of holes, to play my next shot.
The food and beverages, coffee or pop in my case is very excellent in the pub. The staff is friendly and professional.
The Course has a VIP membership which entitles a golfer to many special rewards. And a great deal, and free to join.
I only know the golf course Professional by his first name, which is Curtis, and he is very accessible, and very easy to talk to, an excellent person and Golf Professional. The assistant professional (I think that is his title) his name is Mike, who is also an excellent professional.
I would rate this Golf Course and their facilities superior, overall, to all of the golf courses I have played at, during my life.
I would definitely recommend playing golf at the Legends, which has two 18 hole Great Courses Ushers Creek, and Battlefield, and a 9 hole gentleman's (shorter)Course called the Chippawa. And also there is also their sister course called the Whirlpool Golf Course, in the North End of Niagara Falls, which is an excellent test of golf, as well.
Plus there is a short par three, where I first learned to play golf...called Oak Hall, which is also in the Niagara Parks family of golf courses.
These are all Public Golf Courses, which are Owned and Extremely Professionally Run, by the Niagara Parks Commission.
Have Fun,

Usshers Creek
Great day w the ladies. Staff was very friendly n helpful, course was great although the greens were a little slow and the weather was superb. Great value for the $.
Nice Course not far from Niagara Falls
Played here on September 3, 2014. Received much rain the day before. The fairways were fairly wet, but still easy to play from. Very lush grass. Greens were in excellent condition. The course itself is beautiful, surrounded by trees but with open fairways on most holes. Lots of bunkers though! They also have a nice practice facility and range balls were included with the cost of my tee time. Very friendly staff! About a 20 min drive from the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls. Would play here again!
This course is nicely designed and has an eye catching landscape
Great golf course, friendly accommodating staff, and delicious meals. Great value for the money!
Great course to play
Was a great course to play on, greens and fairways impeccable. The only hole was the ninth hole that was badly torn up by geese. We ended up hooking up with the twosome in front as there was slow play ahead. The staff were great. Great value for the dollar.
Great pace of play
Played 36 holes in just over 6 hours. Course was in great shape other than a little over watering on ushers. Staff was friendly and course workers were very considerate. Pleasure to play legends on the niagara.
Great course !!!!!
One of the best course in Niagara !!!!
The staff very friendly
Restaurant food & service excellent !!!
If they allowed memberships ,
This would be my first pick !!!
GREAT DAY!
We played Usshers Creek for the first time and will certainly be back to try again.
Course was in good condition, fair test for our group.
Pace of play was slow all day, group of three in front of us with two guys and one women - the guys felt the needed to play from Blue tees when they clearly should have played for the White's.
We played from Whites - stronger golfer moved forward a set of tees rather than have the weaker golfer move back a set of tees.
Staff were helpful, service very good, food very tasty.
Outstanding round
Cannot say enough about the condition of the Battlefield Course at Legends Niagara. Easily the best conditions of any course we have played this year - including Glen Abbey, Glencairn, Otter Creek etc.
Played Sat Aug 31 and completed the round in 3 hrs 50.
Nice layout
Course was not busy the day we played. Fairways were wet but drained well after overnight rain. Greens were in good condition and play to a moderate to fast speed. Overall good experience and would Definately play again.
Great course bad drive.
The drive from Toronto on a long weekend was crazy. We missed our 2pm tee off however the staff at the course got us on the tee box the earliest they could. Played Battlefield with some wind, challenging!
If I lived in the area this would be my course to play.
