Legends on the Niagara Golf Course - Battlefield
About
Legends on the Niagara is home to several entertaining golf courses that appeal to players of all skill levels, This unique complex is home to two championship golf courses, a nine-hole course, and a unique 18-hole putting course. The Battlefield Course is one of the 18-hole, championship courses, so named because of the facility's location on the hallowed grounds of the legendary Battle of Chippewa during the War of 1812. The layout features an impressive man-made lake that spans nearly 20 acres and comes into play on at least four holes. The 13th hole is particularly notable for its spectacular view of Niagara Falls in the distance.

Ushers Creek
Nice course, very soft and wet in places as all courses in our area are due to abundance of rain. Greens were slow but true.not overly busy for a weekend. A lot of the difficult rough and weeds were cut down to improve play. Greens almost healed from being drilled. Bunkers being refilled with sand as they were very thin and almost empty. All around good course.
Beautiful Course - People skills needed
I will give the course another chance, because it's obviously a beautiful layout. The young man in the building at the driving range was cordial. The starter and the young man in the pro shop were rude.
The day we played was just after a torrential rain, so it was cart path only, which made it slow. The greens had just been punched but we knew that before starting.
It's a beautiful facility but this was not a great outing - another visit is in order.
plugged greens
I have booked both Legends courses this year thru Golf Now and both times the Greens have been plugged and were sand covered. Wish this had been mentioned at time of booking.
Great time at Legends --again!
Challenging course that was in great shape, enjoyed the staff, pace of play, weather--beat a few of the holes I never could par before--then a few beat me up! Oh well-that's golf--great course...recommend it to all!
Challenging track at a fair price
Started at the range which had ample balls but the distance markers could be clearer. We had an 8 am tee time but the starter let us out 15 minutes early without teaming up with other golfers. Course was in excellent shape and pace couldn't be better. Grounds Crew friendly and professional. Great experience at a fair price. Club house very impressive but 10 bucks a draft the only questionable call. Definite replay.
Aerated!!!!!!
Aerated greens and was unaware at booking big disappointment !
Previously loved the course great track
ENJOYABLE play
Course condition was good, bunkers were hard due to recent rains. Green were true and fast. Pace of play was excellent as few other players present at time of 9:06 tee-off.
Good course
Great course.
Little expensive. Was there when they aerated the course so there was little holes on the fairways and the greens were very sandy.
I don't know why they don't do aerating at the beginning of the year. Instead of right in the middle of the summer
Also the starter was very pushy. There was no one before or after us and demanded us get on that tee block
Amazing Experience
Amazing time at Legends. Right from the get go staff was extremely friendly and really treated us well. It was also fathers day so a steak buffet was included at the end of our round. The food was so good.
Ushers Creek was the course we played and it was challenging but fair. Conditions were amazing and I would highly recommend coming here. It is an experience and I would find it hard for anyone not to have a positive time here.
Battlefield is well worth it!
Beautiful clubhouse, great driving range, nice practice green and great beer and food.
The course was in excellent shape with all levels of tee boxes available. However all of our specific tees were placed at the very front of the tees. The course played roughly 300 yards shorter because of this.
We played battlefield on Wednesday, Whirpool on Thursday and Grand Niagara on Friday. Battlefield is wide and was a good challenge.
I highly recommend playing there.
views from everywhere
very challenging and yet rewards you for good shots.
greens are lightning fast and rolling, bunkers everywhere and do yourself a favour and stay out of them. the secondary rough eats your ball and your club(strengthen your club choice). Very enjoyable afternoon. I will be back
The course forces the player to use course management
As always the Niagara Parks courses are in great shape. One of my favorite.
It's too bad Golf Now is getting so expensive.
Usshers Creek
Course was in great shape. Was alittle disappointed was asked to play Usshers just because its a different course from Battlefield. Nevertheless company was great one player should me how well you can play at a top level and the other player showed me what it was like to be young again and have a great game with advercity hitting you in the face. To great players with some great times ahead of them to enjoy this great game. Course was in excellent shape.
Battlefield is a lot of course
One of the most serene settings for a course I've played.
I turned 56 this year and was playing with a guy that decided to play the reds. I joined him. What a fun round. Everything was A1 except the premade sandwich I got from the cart girl.
Would totally go back.
starts off looking easy.
then the course can eat u up....great landscape....fast greens (which I like....thanks Legends).....
Ussher Creek
Course was in great condition played in 3.5 hrs, Will definitely will play again.
A must play when in Niagara Falls
Great day at Usshers Creek ,staff very accommodating, sent me on back 9 first, allowing me to play as a single , played in about 3hrs . Coarse was in great shape , the geese were having there way with one fairway but it was not that big a deal . Tees ,greens , fairways , bunkers where in top shape . Clubhouse / locker rooms are well staffed .Will play here again ...well worth the trip and great value for the price
Battlefield is the Best
I return to Battlefield yearly since it held the Canadian LPGA in 2004. It is an incredible course, well groomed in every respect. Staff have a courteous professionalism. My round by myself took 1hr50min. The smiles of the players tell it all.
great course in great condition
very enjoyable--in excellent condition-fairways are pristine, traps have lots of sand and the greens are fast and tricky.
