Excellent Day
Had 8:57 tee time for threesome.Got off 20 min early. Had whole course to ourselves.Course in great condition. Greens were just healing from being aerated little sandy and slower than usual but rolled true.
fun round
Played a late in the day round. started at 5:30, but because there was no one ahead of us, we easily beat sundown.
Fairways and bunkers in great shape. greens had been aerated the week before, so not great. Considering that, they played pretty true, just a bit slow.
This is a fun course with big fairways and greens.
Good time had at Legends Battlefield Course.
Had the pleasure of playing this scenic course treatment was first class from parking lot clean thru to beer in clubhouse at completion of round. The course was in typical niagara region splendor and played fairly if shots stayed on fairways if you occasionally found the rough things could be a challenge but that is to be expected. Would definitely recommend this as a must play if you visit the nigara region.
Usher's in Great Shape
Usher's Creek at Legends on the Niagara is in excellent shape. Greens, tees, fairways. Some of the bunkers could use more sand but overall course is in great shape.
Nice facility
Legends is a great facility, beautiful surroundings. My only beef is that the greens are really shaggy and slow. It's been a challenging year for the greens, hopefully they will be better next time.
Fast Greens
Great course.
Teeing grounds, fairways, greens were all in great, great conditions. $40 including cart was such a great deal. Beautiful course.
Great course
Worth the drive from Burlington.
Challenging holes, excellent condition.
A gem in Niagara
The course was as advertised, forgiving but still offering a good challenge. My wife and I both enjoyed our day and would definitely play there again. Manicured excellent, but would like cheaper beer prices.
Legends is Niagara's Best
Can't say enough good things about this course, for the money easily the best course in Niagara. Do yourself a favour and book a tee time here, you won't regret it.
Good but a rip off
this course was 170 for 2 adults with a cart, and let me tell you, for 170, you can play way better courses. Good course, but not worth the money!
Pleasant surprisw
I expected a lot less from a public course in a tourist mecca. The Canadian pro ladies were playing next day so course conditions were tournament quality. The greens were fast and pin placements challenging. The bunkers were fluffy enough but there was a paucity of rake; big bunkers and few rakes can make for a lot of walking. As the ladies were practicing they sometimesdropped an extra ball or two to redo a shot but our twosome still played in 4 hours. weather was great and venue very attractive. I think staff need to be a little more interested in their customers. The bar tender was great as was the greeter who went out of his way to get a fresh towel for my cart. I was expecting geese and their droppings but low and behold they were all over on the other 18. Hallelujah! Anyway we had a challenging 18 on a beautiful afternoon and a hot deal to boot. Woot Woot!
perfect twilight
course played a very fair 6100 yards. Looking forward to playing again to explore better lines off the tee. As a very average golfer it is challenging yet not so that scares me away from returning. We played twilight and easiliy completed the round in 4 hours and would have been less but slowdown on last 5 holes by group that wouldn't let faster players play through. A course marshall would have helped in that matter.
Needed a Marshal at one point...
Major backlog on the front 9 of Usshers Creek.
Had 2 groups who seemed to know each other in front of us.
On one hole, both groups were all on the same green at the same time!!! Possibly one group letting the other through? Maybe.
The 9th tee then had 3 groups, including us, on it waiting to tee off!!!
Finished the front in well over 2 hours.
Thankfully at the turn, the starter sent us off on the front 9 of Battlefield. We really appreciated that!!!
Finished 'our' back 9 in 1 1\2 hours.
Although we played the front 9 of the two different courses, the move to Battlefield saved our golfing experience for the day.
Great Day
We teed off just after 8:30 am and didn't see another person the rest of the round. Made for a very relaxing and enjoyable day. The course was in good shape and markers were visible. All in all a great time
What a delight!
My husband and I were recommended by a man who lives by to either golf the Legends Batttlefield or Grand Niagara. With golf now we got a good deal and decided to go with Legends. The course was great, conditions were excellent. The only problem we encountered was given a 1:36 tee time and we didn't get to tee off until 2:15. There was some sort of tournament ahead of us.....they were extrememly slow and it was obvious many were first time golfers (weren't we all at some time or other?). After the 4th hole, they shook hands and after that we went much more quickly. While waiting to tee off we were offered to play a few holes at their other course but people were ahead of us there also and not golfing very quickly, so wr just waited. Glad we did, we really enjoyed our day and I would definately recommend this course. The staff was friendly and professional.
doing battle
I landed in the first trap, and 3 shots later I got back out to the battlefield, feeling like I had taken cover from the Yankee muskets. The course took its toll on me, as I left a few balls in the ponds and woods, but that was more my fault than the course's. I hit from the whites and that was good enough for me, as I only hit it about 200 yds, at best. The thought of someone going from the gold tees was head-shaking. There always seems to be a pretty good breeze out there, and it lengthens some holes in an interesting manner. I got a good price from GolfNow or I might not have come here. There are other courses in the area, but this one is a great track, full of fun.
Great Golf Course
We were lucky, we went on TO USHER'S CREEK WITH no one in front of us and no one behind us.
It was a perfect day. The conditions were amazing, no distractions overall a perfect day.
As for the 19th hole, would reccommend the drinks in the bar but thought the food was terrible.
superb condition after a terrible winter and early spring in southern Ontario
Unfortunately, I injured my knee and was unable to play. However, since I was there as part of our foursome, I completed the round as an observer. The winter and early spring in southern Ontario was very bad news for many of the golf courses here - a few courses lost most or all of their greens. Ussher's Creek, on the other hand, came through with flying colours. A little bit wet in spots, but otherwise in excellent condition - all fairways and greens really great.
Terrific
My wife and I go down from the GTA once or twice year. Other than the wetness of the course (its rained all Spring) which restricted us to "cart path only", the course is in terrific shape. No winter kill as with most courses in Burlington/Hamilton. We were a twosome among all foursomes so after nine the starter switched us from Usher's to Battlefield. A great decision and we played the front nine on Battlefield in under 2 hours. Greens and fairways are superb.
