4 some with ex soccer players
I brought 3 guys who are first timers at Royal Vista. They enjoyed view, challenging course, and most of one guy had great score. I am glad these guyes enjoyed.
I maintained
Very disappointed with the conditions of fairways..weeds and dead grass sand traps(dirt) were not acceptable only reason I played here was to meet retiree buddies close to them I’m from Las Vegas..been 10 yrs since and still not pleased put some money into this old course
Don’t Walk It
Haven’t ever played a course that was so hilly and I’ve played some fairly hilly courses. I would not recommend walking if this is your first time to the course. I called the course to confirm and asked about walking and was told that it wasn’t too bad. Wrong. It definitely affected my round. The course conditions weren’t great the fairways weren’t tightly mowed and in good condition and the greens were inconsistent. On top of all of this you rarely get a flat lie. The fairways had areas that were quite wet for some reason. Maybe the sprinklers needed work or they overwatered early and the fairways hadn’t quite dried out early morning. Not a huge fan don’t think I’d play it again or recommend it.
Poor fairways
Attention to the up keep of the fairways has lacked tremendously. There is a tremendous amount of water line leaks throughout all 3 courses. Most Tee boxes are in bad shape. Seems that the new owners are not reinvesting the revenue back into the course. I’ve been playing here for over 20 years. The condition is the worst I’ve seen. Focus, drive, and passion by the owners to have the best rated course in the county is a huge responsibility. Owners of Royal Vista it is time to stand up and do your job!!!
Royal Vista
Greens were in good shape with the exception of heavy play marks on the green. Fairways were dry and had to hit of dirt/weeds or relocate the ball to a patch of decent grass some holes had a very nice layout while a few were unusual or difficult slopes pushing the ball out of the fairway. Lots of uphill and downhill shots throughout.
Fun Course But A Few Issues...
Royal Vista is a fun course which offers challenging holes no matter which pair of nines you play. It is in good shape and the greens were well-kept and medium speed.
Unfortunately the pace of play is horrendous, due to the fact that there is nobody enforcing the ten-minutes between tee times policy due to COVID-19. We were supposed to tee off in front of the incredibly slow group of duffers in front of us but they teed off first since the starter didn’t announce who was up first.
Also, not to be a whistleblower or anything, but there seems to be no physical/social distancing going on at the course at all. Putting greens were being used by groups; the bar (completely indoors) was open and serving food as well as had people sitting at the bar in close proximity, and there is no policy that everyone gets their own cart.
Overall, it was a good course but these issues were surprising and unexpected, seeing as how we are living in a time of social distancing during a pandemic.
not worth the money
the staff was friendly. the course condition was not the greatest....difficultly of the course was too easy, short n on top of that you can cut corners with no real down side. this course sets up for beginners but the price is does not match
Staff needs to be able to give golf carts to individual player upon request. I was forced ride and play with somebody I didn’t like much. Other than that you guys are always consistent when it comes to my expectations when I play there .
