Excellent service.
Short distance from my home, good course, Excellent service.
Enjoyable.
Best course for the money
Challenging 27 holes, never easy but fun to play.
Fast green a lot of hills, wide open fairway.
Excellent green fee always enjoy playing here
All around good
Great golf course and great staff they were friendly and helpful
Great Value
Course is in excellent conditions for the value. Greens rolled smooth with no major issues. Will 100% be coming back
Nice but too slow
Played with a buddy, and had an empty fairway on the first, but quickly caught up to the group ahead who was behind a slow foursome. Saw a few marshals, but saw no effort to speed things up. Fairways were okay but the grass was fluffy/spongy. Greens were nice but lots of ball marks, at 8:45 am! If it weren't so slow, I would go more often.
This course has nice course but greens needs attn.
It is challenging course for beginners. Advice for people it is all about course management and club selections. In some of the holes you need to a step up on clubs due to the winds. On Saturdays they move tee boxes back and it is really good to challenge your driver. Love the 6th hole you can reach the green with your driver, 307 yards, but hit it straight, houses to the left and if you go right your in trouble due to the green is elevated. Will play again on Friday. . . .
Good course & had fun
Went today at 83 degrees. Staff was friendly. Played the South/East course. 18 Holes took 3 hours to play. Now that's what you called a great pace of play. Course a bit challenging, but will definitely go back again. One bit of issue that bothered me. I know they have to work and I get that. But mowing the lawn in front, side and back of you with all those noise on many holes is a bit annoying. I'm not sure how to get around that. GREAT time and staff.
Not so royal.
I went to this course to play a quick twilight round. This place is a mess. The range balls and snack shack only take cash and none of the ATM worked. Even if they did there is a 3.00 fee to use. I had to buy $10.00 worth of merchandise just so I could get cash to hit balls of their crummy dead grass range. The pace of play wad atrocious. My round lasted 5 hours and the last three holes I played with no flags becuase the Marshall (rude guy) did not want to wait for me. Bad tee boxes and no water or cups on this hilly course made it worse.
Worst time golfing ever! Terrible staff!
My father and I arrived at the course and no one was in the pro shop 10 minutes later an unfriendly guy comes and demands that we have to have the carts in at 7:30, said in a way discouraging us to play. He did not look up our reservation or send us on the south/east course which was on our reservation. The course was backed up and the course was fair at best as far as maintaining the greens and fairway. As 7:30 was approaching we saw the Marshall coming towards us and told us to pick up our balls and return the carts. We then saw him go to the next hole where a foursome of women had only hit their first shot where told they could finish their hole. So overall there was no one in the pro shop to greet us, once there was he was very rude, nothing about our reservation was honored, marshalls picked & chose who had to follow the rules and lastly the course was at best fair. I do NOT think I will ever use golfnow or play that course again after this very disappointing experience!
Average
All the tee boxes needs to be leveled and trimmed. Greens and fairways are well kept for the most part however the tee boxes are soooo bad its a challlenge just to find a spot where we can tee off ....
Very nice course but needs better scheduling
I really liked this course when I played it a year ago. Playing it this time for the 2nd time just reminded me how highly I still regard this course. It's a straight-forward course offering good challenges and not a lot of "tricks". That means you can play well on your 1st or 2nd time here. The greens roll true and only moderately fast. A few of them undulate and one is split-level, but most are large and flat. Hole position is generally reasonable but occasionally protected directly behind a sand bunker.
White tees are a good length for moderately good players. Hit a good shot onto the fairway and you stand a good chance of hitting the green in regulation.
Red tees could stand to be shortened a bit. 5478 yards can be tiring for shorter hitters, particularly females. Moving the up to a 5000 yard level would improve the enjoyment of many players.it would also differentiate Red tees from White tees. Right now red and white are too close on several holes.
Pace of play was definitely an issue. One hour fifteen minutes and 3 holes is way too slow. And most of the problem is due to overbooking. There was a 5some ahead of us and a 5some ahead of them. And I'm sure the course sent us all out at the same 7 or 8 minute interval. When we commented to the starter about 6 hour round, he said "that's not bad for a Saturday". Not a good answer.
This is a really nice course and I'd like to play it more often. If they reduce some of the pace of play issues, I will. You should try it, too.
Interesting layout.
Not long but challenging looks. Some small treacherous greens require precise approach shots.
extremely fast green
It was my first time playing at this course......OMG!!!! Green was either too fast or my putting skill needs practice. Play again at this course????? U mm mm maybe not!
Golf course is in a very good condition
Very slow play about 6 hrs.
Green is very good condition, fast but true.
Fairway very good condition.
Staff are very nice and friendly.
Overall are very good.
I will sure come back and play.
Great course for price
I've been playing Royal Vista for a few years now after discovering it from google searches. Fairly easy course to beginners-intermediate players. Big open fairways, with limited out of bounds-- brush and shrubs. Few narrow fairways, but they make up for big open greens.
For the price of around $45 for a morning Saturday tee-time, you cannot beat it. The play can be a bit slow at times, but that's to be expected.
stay in play
the course was nice but 5 and a half hours to play due to fivesomes in front of us.
Slow play = raincheck
I play all the time here. They give a rain check if the pace is too slow. Great course.
Great Course
Awesome course!! Great conditions, greens are fast!! No hold up
slow
I had a 908 tee time. didn't go off until 930 or later. stuck behind the mens club weekly tournament. the course was in good condition just took forever.
