A pleasure to play
Despite delayed start, pace of play was very good. Marshall told us the pace was 4h15. We finished in 4h. Beautiful course with varied elevations and hazards. Greens and fairways in great shape. Greens are fast.
The oaks
I love this course, beautiful layout, with rolling fairways surrounded by tall oak trees... Only concern is that the greens were recently aerated or something, covered in sand. Putting was a challenge
Love It
Great course. The 10th hole is a fun one. Not the longest course but challenging and makes you pay for missing the fairway. All about them fairways in regulation.
A must try
This course was in great condition and was a very relaxing round to play. I've already recommended some of my friends to try this course. great bang for the buck!!!
Lightning
I have played this course three times. All three times we have been called off the course due to lightning. As a result it's been difficult to get a sense of the flow of play. Enjoy the course as a whole but there are a few holes where you need to be familiar with the course to ensure a good score.
Very Disappointed!!!
We have played this course before and enjoyed it.
This time however has made it a course I will not go back too.
It took us almost 4 hours to play 9 holes!!!!
No excuse for this as there were Marshall's out on the course. There was a tournament out in front of us with 2 couples playing Match Play in between the tournament and us.
I am disappointed in the course for not speeding up play.
****I am also disappointed the Golf now for only reimbursed us for the last 9 holes and not the whole 18!!!
There were 4 of us in our group and we were ready to walk off after the 3rd hole. There was no part of that game that we enjoyed :( We should have been given the entire purchase price back!
Great course, Great shape, interesting varied holes
The course was in great shape. A variety of different type holes with some very picturesque holes.
Hidden Gem
Worth the drive to play hidden gem that is always in great condition and offers variety in the layout at a good rate.
Oaks Of St. George
Unknown to me I booked with three women. The staff brought this to my attention and then asked and set me up with a group of males. This I thought was awesome.
Great Course Great Staff
Course was in fabulous shape and for the 1st time playing here with NO wind it was perfect conditions.
Great layout, good condition, friendly staff
Play at this corse several times coming from Downtown Toronto and it worth to drive.
Always enjoy very well.
Liked it so much....
I booked myself in the very next day...
What the course lacks in length; it more than makes up in beauty. It is a real shot-makers course and should you make those shots; you will reap the rewards; especially on the front 9.
There is a premium on keeping the ball in play; I like the fact that the driver is not required on every tee shot and a couple of the par 5's play much longer than what is stated on the scorecard due to the prevailing wind and the fact that they are uphill.
Pro shop staff were friendly and I felt like at times I had the course to myself. A great two days of golf; well worth the drive for golf as it should be. Can't wait to go back...
Forgot how great this course is
Course was in excellent condition being that it was the middle of October before I finally got to play it for the first time this year. It's not overly long but it requires precision shot making to score well. Like I said in my title, I forgot how truly great this course is. Challenging but fair. Beer cart girl was pleasant and came around 4 times during my experience (and I'll blame her visits for my expanding numbers from hole 13 on)...Only issue was pace of play. Slow foursome in front of us, however they did allow us to play through on #10. A very good day, and I'll definitely be back.
Wow.....
This coarse is breath taking... Green where great shape... This is a challenging coarse so be an above average golfer".. Vert please...... Fairways and perfect, grass was clipped perfectly. I don't have one bad thing to say...
the oaks on a windy day
fall day in October very strong breeze cool at times and hard to reach par 5 in three shots ..a lot of elevated greens and tight fairways .but this course is beautiful very long ,except par threes very short .but the course plays slow because of its difficulty groups back up because so many people are out of their league on this course..that was my experience but I will be back hopefully at a quicker pace .so if you read this review and are not the best golfer stay away from this course .ha ha
Great Sunday round
Booked at the last minute. Made it in time. Joined a good group of guys.
Course wasn't in bad shape at all following the dry summer we have had. Green in good condition (could have Been cut or rolled). But all in all the course is great. People very friendly
Wonderful
The cost was appropriate for 2 golfers. Pleased with price(was including taxes). Course condition best we've seen this year. Outstanding maintenance of greens and fairways. Staff pleasant, courteous and helpful. Marshall even came around with bottled water that was ice cold as we golfed on one of the hottest days of summer. Always enjoy the challenges and layout of this course.
