Great layout
Course in amazing cond despite dry summer
Greens in excellent cond. Good bang for buck
A must play
Just a fabulous course........maybe the best we've played in years. A must play.
On the negative side golf course staff were a bit off their game that day.
Despite that we will definitely go back.
A Great Course - Recommend!
Played here with my wife during a family visit in the area. Didn't know what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. Interesting layout - lots of doglegs and elevation changes - very tight in some spots. Course was in good shape, although the fairways were getting a little brown due to the ongoing drought. Nice greens.
The course won't kill you with length, but it will keep you interested due to the variety of golf holes. Recommend if you're in the area. They do offer a senior rate. You pay extra to ride and you pay for range balls.
liked the coarse
love the coarse-
will be back
Great Round
Considering that the area hasn't had a lot of rain for quite sometime, the course was in really good shape. The greens were fast and true and the course was soft. I could stick a tee in each tee box without breaking it which is a very good sign the course is looked after. Because it was so hot, there weren't a lot of people on the course so we were able to play a round in under 4 hours. My playing partner had never played the course before and he was very impressed. The price was also right on golfnow!! The course isn't overly long but it is still challenging so you will enjoy it.
Poorly managed course
I was booked to play on a day when their power was out and didn't have the courtesy to call me to let me know not to drive out there for my afternoon tee time, then wouldn't book me an alternate time to play. Fortunately, GolfNow reimbursed my prepaid fee so all it cost me was a wasted trip to St George but not a very pleasant experience, however, it will be my last at this second reat facility.
Great course, friendly staff
Great old school course, greens were in excellent shape. I had not played this course in 10 years so it was good to play again. Will definitely play again, worth the country drive along Hwy 5 to Saint George.
Would play there again. The staff and facility were great.
It was hot and dry and the fairways ran long. Many tough 2nd shots.....1,4,6,10,16.....with little room for error. The staff, both pro shop and starter were very friendly and accommodating.
One of the best golf gems in the province
Great challenging course.
Finally a course that knows how to set up the tees!
Really enjoyed my round of golf here. There are tee blocks for every type of handicapper and most courses would do well to set up tee blocks this way.
This Course has even subscribed to the "play it forward" theory with green tees well in front of the forward tees. You can have fun here and still have a challenge. Strategy definitely comes into play from every set of tees. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the cart person comes by often.as do the marshals. Pro shop is nicely stocked as well. All aspects of my experience were great. the only thing is that the Course doesn't seem to be a member of Golf Ontario so even though there are ratings on the scorecard, you can't put your score in officially. That's the only downside.
You will have a great golfing experience here!
Nice but challenging
I just wanted to experience a new course and didn't have high expectations, but this course turned out to be a sweet surprise for the money I spent. Virtually every hole was different, the fairway was pretty fair, the green was firm enough, and the layout was really attractive. It is a nice course, snug in a pretty and peaceful countryside making me feel refreshed!
Green means slow down
Greens were the slowest I've ever seen, had they been better, rating would have been 4 star
Hidden Gem
Very nice course whether you like to walk or ride. With 5 sets of tees it play nearly 6200 yards from the tips. Water is in play on 10 of the 18 holes. With strategically placed bunkers and trees this course will create a challenge for any level of golfer. The greens run fast and several have multiple levels. The course has a moderately stocked pro shop, a full length driving range and a retaurant.
Unfortunately due to an electrical storm at 6 am that day, a tree knocked out power and the phone lines as well as the computer system so the pro shop would not have been able to call people to let them know as they had no phones and no computer to know who to call.
