The layout on the back nine is really nice including my favorite hole, the beautiful par-4 14th. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 10/17/2018

It's been better - needs work
Great layout, nice amenities, friendly staff. Overpriced for current conditions. Greens are tired, sandbunkers and tee's have seen better days. $105 no way better to be found. Hopefully they'll get it back in shape.
Rainout
Due to slow pace of play, The weather forecast called for late rain which only allowed for 9 Holes.
Not to MG standards - in need of work
For an expensive course this certainly didn't look or feel the part. Tee boxes are worn out greens plugged and slow, area's around greens torn up. Sand bunkers were hit or miss, shape wise. Cours4 just needs work and attention. Wouldn't think of paying $105 for this course when many in area are in better shape. Love the layout, lady in snack house was terrific and check in was seamless experience. Overall a weak 3.
Members Abuse Course
Complaints first…
The sand traps throughout the course were not raked - had one of those days where I seemed to find all of the traps. At least three times, I was in a footprint that was not raked. Once on the greens, I repaired many ball marks. My comments were confirmed by the staff as to quote “the members do not see it as their responsibility- the course should hire someone to take the traps for the amount they pay”. This is enough for me not to return.
The ladies tees were random at times as it was an afterthought and put two reds markers in the ground.
The starter allowed a group to jump ahead of us and slowed us down - very irritating.
The positives…
The course layout is wonderful and is challenging for all handicaps. Many, many sand traps well placed throughout - just wished they were playable.
My wife is a 30 handicapper and can play this course - didn’t have to hit 100 yard shots over water!!! I am a senior and found the white tees challenging and fair.
Greens/Traps
This is a great layout and the greens are usually very nice. I know they punched them last week and they are healing, but the amount of sand on some of the greens left a few nearly unplayable. In addition, most of the traps are in terrible condition. For such a nice course, the traps really detracts from the experience.
Greens need work
Played the course with a local person who is familiar with the layout. The greens are rock hard every approach shot hit the green and rolled off the back of the green our entire group experienced this all day. The group in front of us was miserably slow we waited on every shot as the round was over 5 hours. No course ranger in site
Challenging for all Handicaps
Tee boxes are for all levels - I am a senior and was competing against the “young” generations and the tees were set fairly as I was able to compete (actually won!).
The course is getting much better - stopped playing there because the sand traps were unplayable - they has been a lot of improvement The greens are in good shape - easy to read and a little slow. Still be aware of chipping downhill to the pin.
Beautiful layout - each hole is unique and is private (meaning that you don’t see another hole from where you are). Winds through the neighborhoods and is fun to look at the houses!
Not my cup of tea
The first time playing this course. I live very close to this course and hadn't played since it was a 9 hole course. I really just didn't want to pay the price they were asking because I didn't think it was that great when it was a 9 hole course. A friend and I saw a hot deal and decided to give it a go. He had played there before and liked it. I really didn't like the layout and it wanders through a neighborhood with houses lining most of the fairways. The staff was friendly. I just thought it would have been a nicer course for the money.
Always a fun time!
I’ve been playing Mag Green, intermittently , since it was just 9 holes. Love the layout, even if the back 9 gets the best of me on most days. Greens are recovering nicely from aeration, traps were in good shape, fairways were pretty solid save for a few muddy, bare areas, and the rough is still dormant like many courses in the area. Practice facility is fantastic and provides ample opportunity for a good warmup before the round.
Staff has always been 5⭐️!
It’s a little out of my price range at normal rates, but GolfNow deals make this gem an even better value.
Nice facility
If you don't mind sand traps, its a decent course. Having said that, there are sand traps everywhere and a lot of them where you might want to hit the ball. It is not a matter of missing the fairway and landing in a trap. There are plenty of traps that seem to be in the fairway. That's my take.
