The layout on the back nine is really nice including my favorite hole, the beautiful par-4 14th. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 10/17/2018

Golfer Reviews
Always a fun time!
I’ve been playing Mag Green, intermittently , since it was just 9 holes. Love the layout, even if the back 9 gets the best of me on most days. Greens are recovering nicely from aeration, traps were in good shape, fairways were pretty solid save for a few muddy, bare areas, and the rough is still dormant like many courses in the area. Practice facility is fantastic and provides ample opportunity for a good warmup before the round.
Staff has always been 5⭐️!
It’s a little out of my price range at normal rates, but GolfNow deals make this gem an even better value.
Nice facility
If you don't mind sand traps, its a decent course. Having said that, there are sand traps everywhere and a lot of them where you might want to hit the ball. It is not a matter of missing the fairway and landing in a trap. There are plenty of traps that seem to be in the fairway. That's my take.
Great course;not for beginners.
Challenging lies, thick rough. Back 9 greens offer all the testing you desire. Course is well maintained. Staff are courteous and helpful. Snack cart.
One of the best courses in the Richmond, VA area
For the price, one of the best I’ve ever played. Fantastic layout. Beautiful to look at, but you have to really think your way around the course. The layout has 5 tees, so any handicap player can find their sweet spot for a challenge. The course was in great shape too… well manicured greens with speed and lots of tiers and undulations.
Greens, Greens, Greens
Greens could be in better shape, unless they are planning to do some serious work after golf season. Bent greens at other courses in the area are in far better condition than these. Still love the course, practice areas and layout. Just surprised that a high end course has greens that look like theblocal muni greens
Great Course, but needs some TLC.
I have played this challenging course many times and absolutely love it (especially when there is a Hot Deal). This course gets so much play that their greens were in pretty rough shape. The bunkers, while well placed, were almost unplayable (erosion, very little sand and even growing grass).
Mag Green
Nice layout. Greens not bad. Fairways a bit rough. Clubhouse is superb! Food and service very good. Cute lady in turn refreshment location between 9 and 10th hole.
