About
Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are situated on a scenic stretch of coastline, just a few miles west of Bethany Beach. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations that tumble across sandy dunes and grassy hollows. The natural contours of the coastal landscape largely determined the movement and flow of all three nine-hole courses. The nines, Grizzle, Kodiak, and Black Bear, all have winding fairways bordered by native wetland grasses and lush, oversized greens that boast some of the best conditions on the Eastern Shore. The Black Bear/Grizzly combination is the longest of the three golf courses. Not only does the coastal terrain provide many natural hazards, including several water features, there are also strategically placed bunkers with which to contend.

Nice track and nice conditions
The greens rolled true and smooth and for the most part, fairways were very nice. Would definitely recommend as a golfing experience.
Bear Trap Grizley and Kodiak
You're was in excellent shape. Greens were perfect, bunkers had good sandwiches and tees were fine. 5 sets of tees for any level. Course was fairly open even though there were water areas and water they didn't come into play if you hit reasonably straight. Clubhouse was nice too
Nice Course
Really nice course that plays fairly. Greens were fast this time and flag placement was tough. nice little oasis away from the beach!

Greens are PERFECT.
Tee boxes - great shape

Staff - friendly and helpful
Overall - course in excellent shape for the time of year. Superintendent should be proud.
My only complaint is the greens are perfect and did not give me any excuses for missing putts!
Carts
The electric carts with auto lock are very easy to handle.
Similar handicaps
I wish there was a way to match up players with similar handicaps / playing ability.
4.45 hrs round of golf and a couple that should be playing pitch and put not a difficult championship course. In the reservation ask for your handicap and

All parties would benefit and pace of play would improve I hope.
Rainy
Unfortunately it rained during the whole round, but we still had a good time. Staff couldn’t have been nicer and the course was in great condition. Also the bunkers drained very well. For a rainy day of golf we couldn’t have chose better.
Could be better
Granted the weather did not cooperate but the slow pace of play and the lack of any water or snack cart service compounded the "cart path only" conditions. I would like to return when the weather conditions are better and not stuck behind beginners topping the balls and hitting it sideways while the rain was pounding us.
