About
Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are situated on a scenic stretch of coastline, just a few miles west of Bethany Beach. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations that tumble across sandy dunes and grassy hollows. The natural contours of the coastal landscape largely determined the movement and flow of all three nine-hole courses. The nines, Grizzle, Kodiak, and Black Bear, all have winding fairways bordered by native wetland grasses and lush, oversized greens that boast some of the best conditions on the Eastern Shore. The Black Bear/Grizzly combination is the longest of the three golf courses. Not only does the coastal terrain provide many natural hazards, including several water features, there are also strategically placed bunkers with which to contend.

Great course
The facility was excellent and the course was perfect
Great place, nonsensical price
Bear trap is a wonderful 27 holes and clubhouse. Staff is great. The price point borders on absurd. It’s just plain not a course that warrants paying as much money as is charged.
Coastal favorite
A favorite course at Delmarva beaches. The 27 holes offer an interesting layout and course was in great shape. $100 for later afternoon tee time wasn’t too bad for high season at the beach. If I had a complaint, the greens were a little slow but maybe due to later afternoon tee time. Staff were friendly. We were paired with another twosome and pace was ok finishing in a bit over 4 hours.
Evening golf until dark
Got a great deal ($45 each player) because odds were against finishing 18 before dark. Fun course with lots of challenges. Only negatives: Cart path only and some spopngy soggy areas on some fairways, plus too many mosquitos, all due to a week of heavy rains. Otherwise a greeat time!
Wow Beat Course in OC
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, everything about this course says country club amenities. Thank you for leading the way on how to treat and greet guests. First impression this week was the same as the Fall, super welcoming. Course is beautiful, challenging but fair. Love this course. Thanks times 27 to the grounds crew as well! Great work!
Awesome course
Great round, fun course layout and practice facility.
5 Hour Round
Took 5 hours to play on a TUESDAY! There were 3 groups teeing off hole 10 and no one did anything about it. Maybe they should have had the bev cart so people could at least get a drink.
