Golfer Reviews
Not worth the money
Course layout was great. Scenery was absolutely beautiful. Greens were poor. There were dead/bare areas on the greens, crab grass/weeds growing on the greens, unrolled and on the verge of shaggy. There were a few of the tee boxes that needed some serious care (no grass on a couple).
I’ve played all over the US, and for the green fees at the course, I’d expect more. Not worth the money.
Pebblebrook Greenbrier TN
Getting a little better every time I go. Must have hired a new course groundskeeper it’s looking slightly better in the fairways.
Greens
Everything was perfect other than the greens and a few of the tee boxes off the whites. I love this course and the complexity of it! Just greens need a little help! But since I’ve being playing this course it has improved tremendously
Great course to practice
I love this course! They’ve been taking good care of it this summer, greens are in decent shape and improving, fairways are in good shape, it’s a great place to get out for a practice round or a solo round if you just want to work on your game. The new carts are nice and the staff is always very kind. Great hidden gem for summer morning golf when all the pricey courses are packed.
Greens/fairways
Great course layout but would like to see better greens and the fairways cut shorter. Challenge course with a lot of pretty good elevation changes. Staff was great and will definitely play again but will hope the greens/fairways are better.
Excellent value
Pebble brook was a great find for a round. The course was in good shape with a few greens that appeared to be under
construction/repair and mostly generously open fairways. The staff was very friendly and courteous.
Awesome layout
Awesome layout for the scenery and views but the course was in poor condition. There was maybe one bunker that was still sand
Much needed Help
This course needs help. There are actual hazards on the greens. On multiple greens you would need a wedge to clear these areas never in my whole life have we seen greens in such bad shape. No sand in any of the bunkers. Looks like they had many equipment failures every other green had hydraulic burn marks from green to cart path.
Love this course.
Very challenging. Great lay out. Love the new carts.
Bad Greens
The Greens were to worse I have played in years. Potential players need to be warned.
Overall, the course is good. Nice location, pretty scenery, not crowded. The only drawback is the condition of the greens. Many, if not most, need some work. A few are quite sub-par (no pun intended).
Fun place to play, new carts
The staff is great, and they just got new carts. I see a lot of neewbies posting about this course. I go at least once a week. The carts are new, and goverened to 8mph.(Lot of people tore up old carts, and greens). They are slowly improving the course. As much rain as we had it did some damage. Over all a fun play to play, and great staff, try the cheeseburgers, on your way to 10th hole.
Pebblebrooke
They put in new carts which is nice but still need a lot of work on the fairways and greens. Several shots off middle of the fairway ground as hard as concrete. Bunkers still not addressed after 7 years. Greens are better but still need a lot of TLC. Invest in a grounds keeper that knows golf courses then spend the money to let them do their job. Cart paths need a lot of repair new carts are going to take a beating. Invest or sell to someone that will
Poorly maintained & too expensive
Almost every green had sand, holes, brown grass etc on it. “Bunkers” were just straight hazards as they were hard sand or grass - a ball literally bounced out of a bunker like it was cart path and (luckily) landed on the green. The person working the desk said some holes were cart path only due to how much rain they had gotten (understandable) but they couldn’t take the time to fix the greens and utilize the rain to help it grow.
They mentioned getting new golf carts but they could barley get up the massive hills around the course.
2 super cool cliff par 3s so that’s cool. Also solid hot dogs
