Pebble Brook Golf Course

arrived one hour prior to tee time to allow time for range balls and warm up. The "manager" informed myself and my playing partner that the small bucket of range balls, which were so beat up and weathered that there were barely evident dimples left, would cost us $13.17 per bucket. She claimed the outrageously inflated price was due to people steeling her balls and buckets. That was about 20 balls. Reluctantly we stayed to play and paid for two buckets. The natural "turf" range offered no decent spot to hit from. mostly divots and weeds. On to the course. Every cart they own has half the drivers seat ripped off with no effort to repair that issue. The steering left us fearing for our lives making our way around the course up and down the hill sides with eroding pathways and treacherous falls to near certain death. The course itself was just as sad as the rest of the experience. Most of the greens were plagued with disease and spotty at best. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!

This is not an upscale private club or posh resort. The club house is not particularly fancy, the snack bar wasn't open and the pro shop is bare bones,

But none of that matters to me. I care about one thing -- the golf course. Is it fun? Is it interesting? Is it challenging but fair?

I answer yes to each question.

I like hilly courses with lots of elevated tees and elevated greens. Pebble Brook has plenty of both. It also has lots of blind tee shots which is fine, but I wish they had a bell or a mirror or a tower so you could be sure the group ahead has cleared the landing area without someone driving up to the top of the hill to check.

Be sure to bring your range finder because yardage markers are very hit and miss.

I should note that the course conditions were better than I expected for the first week of February just 2 weeks after a 9 inch snowfall that stayed on the ground for 10 days with sub-freezing temps that whole time. Yes, the greens are rough, but they are playable if you move your ball away from the biggest dirt patches. (I had 6 one putts and no three putts).

The seat cushions on the carts are torn and the scorecard holder was missing on mine. But the cart had plenty of oomph and the brakes worked fine.

I played behind two inexperienced golfers but still finished in 4:15 on a Saturday.

Back nine was closed due to weather, had to play front 9 twice. Greens and sand traps need work

Only downsides to PB are the greens and the carts. The carts are all missing pieces of seat, but drive mostly good. The greens are really rough right now. It is winter golf at this point but the upkeep on the greens is poor. Rarely cut and very patchy. I love playing this course but the greens make it difficult.

pebble brook hasn't changed much in three or four years. Beautiful setting and layout,rough conditions. Greens average to bad on some holes. Traps sandless and dormant;take a drop.Fairways ok.Cart seats need replacing. If someone could infuse about 750K in this place it would be as good as it was 15 years ago. As it is, better than the driving range.

This must have been a beautiful place a tone time. I would have loved to have seen it and played it then.

The Tee boxes were barely marked, The putting greens were horrid.. The golf carts were in poor condition.

Nice coarse overall layout wise some fun holes and friendly staff but the greens need serious work they only had four greens in good shape

I really enjoyed playing this course during the week very relaxed and not rushed.

Fun layout. Some big elevation changes. Fairways are in great shape. Currently, a few of the greens have bad spots. And a few other greens weren’t mowed as short and were extremely slow. You don’t want to walk this course, there are some long rides between holes.

The layout was very nice and scenery. However, the course conditions are very bad. The greens are horrible with damage spots everywhere and they have not been mowed for a while. The golf carts are bad with damaged seats and without windshield. I would not play this course again.

Still beautiful from afar, but needs work. Not a common course you might be use to. Some greens have gotten better some worse.

It has been a while since I’ve played this course and it will definitely be a while before I go back. This course used to be a fun and beautiful place to play. The condition of the course was horrible. There was no sand in the sand traps. Most of the fairways were indistinguishable from the rough. The greens appeared not to have been taken care of all season. NOT worth it even after getting a good price ($30 fo 18). There are many other courses in the area.

Many of the greens are in poor condition making it difficult to putt accurately. There are many aluminum cans and some trash found all throughout the course. Suggest placing trash receptacles at each tee box and reminding golfers not to litter.

Back nine was closed front nine greens under repair no mention of this when booking. When trying to play par 3 number 6 hole grounds keepers were spreading sand on green saw me on tee box screwed around with the sand for 12 minutes instead of stepping aside and letting me play and move on very rude

I’ve played here a few times and the views are some of the most beautiful. But this course is one of the worst taken care of I’ve ever seen. It could probably be one of the best but it seems that they don’t care about the course at all and just want you to pay. They haven’t maintained it at all. Fairways basically don’t exists and the greens are the worst I’ve ever seen. Seems to be worse each time I go play.
