Ocean Resorts Golf Club
About
Located just six miles west of Ocean City, Md., Ocean Resorts Golf Club is a good option if you're looking for a round that is fun to play but still a good value. The course is known for being player friendly enough for any skill level but there are still several challenges in store with multiple sets of tees that range from 4,800 to 6,500 yards. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are also several strategically placed bunkers you'll have to contend with. The layout rewards proper club selection and good strategy but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. A unique aspect of Ocean Resorts is that it's owned by the Wor-Wic Community College.

Greens hadn’t been cut in 1 week+. Decent layout that has a lot of potential.
Worth the visit!
Played this course for the first time and overall it was very good. The greens were very wet and slow from the morning dew but they were also cut a bit high making even late morning putts coming up short. With few exceptions, the greens were in otherwise great shape as were the fairways. I was paired with a local who knew the course and helped with positioning, but if you're not so lucky, be sure to read the scorecard for hole by hole suggested play.
Needs TLC
I enjoy the course layout, but the playing conditions are poor. The fairway grass is very thin on most holes, to the point that finding a lie that is not partly on dirt is difficult. Some greens were fine, but others were very thin. The course also has drainage problems. Although we have had a lot of rain in the area, several greens were extremely wet. I play here occasionally because it is less expensive than most other courses in the area, but you get what you pay for.
The course needs work
I’ve played this course every year for 20 years. It use to be in decent shape. The greens aren’t real bad but could use some help, but fairways were terrible. It’s a real shame they can’t bring this course up to par.
Course was in very poor condition. Disapointing
Have played course many things mea over last 10 years and course was in pretty bad condition. Tee off box fairsy and greens were terrible know the maintenance guy work hard and care about the course maybe it was just a bad weather summer hope it gets better over the winter
Great Course.
Was overall an excellent course. Greens were being aerated but those kind of things are expected , just got unlucky with us being there that day. Would love to play that course again next year when I visit Ocean City again.
Ocean Resorts
The t boxes all are not in good shape. Some have no grass at all.The fairways are bare in spots. The greens were bare and bumpy.Im sorry the course has not gotten more mature in its growth. The guys that I played with all felt the same thats why I decided to write this review. There's really no comparison to the other courses in the area.
Vacation stop
Had potential to be a nice course but greens were dry and bumpy and not in any shape to be played on. Layout was okay. Liked the back nine better than the front. A lot of blind holes on the front nine. Sorry, wish it was better.
Absolutely atrocious for the price
For an $80 dollar course, you’d at least expect grass in the fairways. When you hit it on the fairways, you’re basically playing off mud….and when you hit the greens, it’s like you’re putting in a bunker. The staff was very nice :)
Golf Review
Nice course, well-maintained. First several holes seemed a lot harder than the rest. Be aware that they won't let you take carts into the parking lot - what a pain, since we had to park in the overflow lot far away.
Some good, some bad
Positives: scorecard has tips on playing each hole - never saw this on a scorecard before, and was impressed by the content and its usefulness. Greens in full sun were in excellent condition.
Negatives: shaded greens were in horrible condition; some expertise is needed on how to manage shaded greens. Carts are not allowed to go into parking lot for some reason; very annoying and not customer-friendly. Also, fairways were not In good condition. In our group, we had to make a rule that if u were in the fairway, you could reposition your ball to a spot with "normal" fairway grass.
Great pace.
Great pace, nobody was on top of us. The heat beat some of the greens up. Love this course.
Last Resort
Booked as a Hot Deal for 65 on a Saturday morning or else I’d be upset if I paid 80 for a course in that shape. Tee boxes were in rough shape but not as rough as some of the greens that were more sand than grass.
Nice layout, challenging course
Nice layout, some tough holes it stays interesting. The condition of the course was a bit below the premium courses but for the price it was definitely reasonable.
