Ocean City Golf Club - Newport Bay

There should be a golf ranger on the course to prevent people from joining up and playing 6 in a group.

Great challenge, bring some extra balls. Fun course, very scenic, great local feel, well kept. Pace of play was nice. Highly recommend and the price is fair

Played 4-5 years ago, massive upgrades to clubhouse and overall vibes. Great practice facilities. Two cart people and a half way house. Greens were in great shape, as was rest of course.

If you have not played Newport Bay, you’re missing out. Enough said.

Overall a great experience. Staff, clubhouse amenities, drinks and service were all fantastic.

Course was a bit rough around the edges .. which would be expected for an early April round. Greens were 8/10, Fairways 7/10, Tee Boxes 7/10.

Price was a bit high ($62 on a Golf Now Hot Deal - Retail $80) vs quality of course however highly competitive price wise with other OC courses.

Would definitely come back and play again.

This course has MANY outings throughout the year even in November but at the end of our round the players coming off seaside course put alot of pressure of the staff of 2 felt a bit rushed and prority switched to the players coming off the in from the outing also it was late in the day after 3pm

When we arrived we were told that it was cart path only this should be noted before we pay for the course which is online very disappointed this is the second time at this course call before making reservations. There had been no rain for weeks

Several factors contributed to probably the worst golf day I can remember. First, no one told us that this course would be cart path only until we got to the first tee. Since I have some physical challenges that was a huge problem. This cart path only policy lead to such a slowdown that everyone was waiting 10-15 minutes between shots. No ranger to move things along. The excuse was that they had reseeded the fairways, but they also over-watered them to the extent that on many holes you or your ball would be standing in water. After 3 hours and 15 minutes we finally finished nine holes and gave up. Shame on Newport Bay.

This was the most unenjoyable round, I have had in a long time. I ended up quitting after 9 holes eventhough I was shooting better than my normal score. The reason..... they had just overseeded and flooded the fairsways. A shot in the middle, you would be standing in water for your next shot. What made it worse was cart path only. Cart paths were far from fairways and the walking to and from your ball was terrible. On top of that, the course stacked the teetimes and made the waiting between shots way too long. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes. There were no rangers and the course didn't seem to care about the golfer.

Lot of golfers at this course but the starters were well organized and had players getting off the 1st tee very efficiently. Course was in good condition and despite the heavy play we finished in a little over 4 hours
