About
Located in the North Tucson area, SaddleBrook Ranch Golf Club borders the Santa Catalina Mountains. The course meanders through the high Sonoran desert, incorporating natural washes into the design and providing stunning mountain views from almost every hole. Abundant desert flora and fauna further enhance the rugged, gently rolling terrain. The golf course offers a mix of challenging holes and player-friendly features, resulting in a layout with several interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low and high handicappers equally. The player-friendly fairways are generous, allowing beginners to feel comfortable with ample room off the tees and rewarding thoughtful play. There are also carefully placed mounds, hollows, and bunkers along the large, receptive greens that provide opportunities to recover an errant shot. The golf course is made even more versatile with five different sets of tees.

No downside
Good price on Teeoff, and course was in pretty good shape.
SaddleBrooke Ranch
Tee boxes, fairways, sand traps and greens were all in great shape.
Course is pretty straight forward.
Next to zero trouble to get into
It's a nice course though. All the staff inside clubhouse and outside were very friendly.
Long drive from Green Valley (1:10) but I'm glad I made the journey.
I would play it again.
Slow go
I saw a marshal go by but he obviously did nothing about the slow play. A group of ladies finally quit in front of us as the afternoon dragged on… it’s not a social picnic out there people, get to your ball, select your club and hit the ball! And if you hit a ball into the desert or wash, have a quick look, drop another ball and move on. If you have hit 5 times and you’re only half way up the fairway, pick up and drop on the green. Golf is not a five hour game! Get your Marshall doing his job. Won’t be back for along time.
Saddlebrook
Greens are new and beautiful but won’t hold a ball no matter how well hit. Will improve with age.
Practice green is much faster than greens on the course.
Great course - pace of play needs work
The course was pristine- all of our group commented on this. We were placed within league play - but the group in front of use demonstrated poor etiquette- not taking multiple clubs to ball, so walking back and forth to cart. We could also tell they were not playing ready golf given the course was busy - this seems obvious. Watching them putt back and forth around the hole was frustrating. The course setting is relaxing , so I’m willing to give it another chance.
A little slow pace
Tee boxes and greens are nice! Fairways are mostly painted hard pan and the rough was cut short in preparation for the spring growing season. Pace of play was slow, it took over four hours to complete the round. We started out as a foursome and two of the players bailed out after nine holes because of time constraints. My playing partner was a great guy and we enjoyed the back nine while waiting for the groups ahead of us.
