One of the nicest courses I've ever played on with some of the most diabolical greens and pin placements

We went here for the first time while we were visiting our son. We ended up playing the same 9 twice since the course was so busy, but we didn’t mind. They said it was their first full day and apologized but gave us the choice to play the 9 again since it would be faster. This course will be beautiful once things start turning green (we live in AZ so we aren’t used to the brown:)). The staff was great and the greens were really nice. We will be back.

It had been a few years since I had played here, but I was very impressed with the changes. Many of the greens have been reshaped, making it much more playable. Green were in great shape, and the course was even better than I remembered it!

What everyone needs to know is the course drains terribly so if you’re playing after a rain storm just know that there are lakes in the middle of the fairways and you’ll hit a perfect drive and lose your ball in the middle of a lake that is formed in the middle of the fairway. I would not play this course after a rain storm, give it a week or so or you’ll be thoroughly disappointed.

I have played here several times. Course in good shape

Played a handful of times within the last 5 years. I was very surprised at how good the conditions were comparing to my last visit. I heard the recent renovation and dropping one of the 9s has had a great impact and that is certainly true.

Some teeboxes are rough, but greens solid, fairways solid, and pace was tolerable for a weekend round.

Can’t wait to see this place come spring. Maintenance crew should be proud.

The course is in good condition. The improvements are great. My only issue is pace of play. Need a marshal to enforce pace of play. Nothing to do with course itself however the players are very rude and don’t understand sportsmanship. For example, I was a single behind a slow foursome, I asked if I could tee off before them. I was rudely told no.

For me, the layout stood out. Plenty of standard holes balance out the more difficult ones. Several holes demand precision, with tight landing areas off the tee. You need strong course management to post a good score. There is elevation change and fairway undulation throughout the course. A few blind shots add challenge and keep you focused. Greens rolled smooth. Fairways played well for mid-winter conditions. You will want another round on a warm day to see the course in peak season shape. I recommend this course to anyone who values strategy and shot placement.
