Heritage Golf Links - Heritage Nine

Basically this review is to let anyone looking to play to wait until the front 9 opens back up. The Tradition land has been sold and maintenance has ceased, understandably so. I didn't wait because I wanted to cheap price.

This course is less than half a mile from my house, but I never got to play because when the front 9 was still open it was $90/golfer...idc how close it is I'm not and probably never will be good enough to pay $90.

They shut down the front 9 for renovations and are now playing the back 9 twice for 18. Because of this I got the opportunity to play because the price was reduced due to the construction. I had the worst round of my life, lol. Must've been the pressure of finally getting to play the course that I used for the driving range the first time I picked up golf....much improvement in my game since then -- it will always have a special place in my heart.

I guess I was unrealistically expecting better greens considering the usual $90 I see on some days, but retrospectively the greens were in no shape to be played. Maybe from over use, maybe because they don't see a point in maintenance since they sold the lot for a housing development But I have seen better greens at the RiverPines 9-Hole Par 3 unfortunately.

Cart paths were very bumpy, but again...that land has been sold so putting money into it would be a waste.

If you're looking for a classic Heritage experience wait for the front 9 to come back!

2 of the 3 nines are under renovation. I understand that and appreciate that they are maki g an investment in the future because this is usually a gem of a course. Unfortunately the greens on the one nine that is open are in very rough condition. The on course drink setup was great and the staff was very friendly,

They should be ashamed charging $94 for what i played. The fairways were goat pastures, the greens were filled with dead spots and ball marks, the hole green is under construction so they moved the pin down and you putt on flattened fairway grass. The lake is drained and trees are cut up and stacked all over the course. Over all the course is in terrible shape and very ugly. Horrible value.

The course is beautiful but the greens are pretty bad.

From the pictures I assumed it would be worth the money, but it was definitely not. We were constantly feeling like we were being rushed and the greens has splotches of grass and ball marks everywhere. The fairways were decent. But the greens are in dire need of some help. Will not be coming back anytime soon.

One nine under construction. Back nine greens mostly under repair. Front nine greens OK. Links style far as hills in fairway but thick fairway Bermuda holds the ball on hills in the middle of the fairways?? Greens are Augusta-like for hills, but not well maintained. Why are greens still bent vs. champions Bermuda these days?? Bunkers all around were rock hard and not enough sand. Not worth the semi-premium price. Cart geo-location failed repeatedly and we had to go in reverse quite a bit + one of our carts died in middle of back nine?? I don’t normally do reviews, but this one was disappointing after high expectations.

Almost 80 dollars to play a Friday morning and the greens were in terrible shape. I like this course and played it before. Stuck behind a super slow group that wouldn't let us play through didn't see the Marshall once. No cart service and green were in the worst shape of any course I've seen lately. Bunkers were packed mud like they haven't been raked in weeks and full of rocks. Don't waste your time or money until they get back to caring about the course again.

Whole course is trash. Greens ain’t seen water in weeks. Worst greens I’ve played on and I’ve played candler park a dozen times. Absolutely terrible

Called to be sure course was in good shape. Greens were unplayable. Staff was rude and not at all welcoming. We will not return.

Heritage will be a beautiful course on d the work is completed. Right now it’s challenging given the work and recent aeration of greens.

Not one to talk bad about a golf experience but the greens here today were awful. For $100 I wouldn’t expect to see mounds of dirt/sand on almost every hole.

I’ve been playing this course and been a member here for almost 2 years. Fairways were in fine shape, but this is the worst I’ve ever seen the greens. It seems like they have gotten distracted with the renovations and not cared for what they have – it really ruins the round. I would not recommend playing here for the time being, as it is not worth the money at the moment.

Greens were the worst I have ever played in. It will be a long time before I will consider playing this course again.
