Lost Marsh Golf Course - Par-3 Course

Great course, plenty challenging but fair as well. First 6 holes can be brutal w/ the high intense winds that blow out there, really tests your concentration but a lot of fun. Clubhouse is very nice, staff was very accommodating, and food wasn't bad either. I'll certainly go back and absolutely recommend this course.

Played this past Saturday - tee'd off at 2pm and did not finish until close to 8pm. The course booked a shotgun scramble with 2 4 some's per hole and also overbooked the other tee times... very frustrating.

This was my first time playing this course, and I was totally blown away by the clubhouse amenities and the layout of the course itself. This is truly a great place to play, and it's reasonably priced. It will challenge your ability to manage your shot selection on every hole. I'm definitely booking another tee time soon. Whoever the grumpy non welcoming old man at the first tee was started us off on the wrong foot. 1st time ever at the Marsh was an employee rude & not friendly.

Greens in rough shape and had a hard time finding tee box distance marks. Pace was slow but still ok. Great facilty and easy to get to. Challenging course that will test your accuracy.

First five holes have water in play. On top of that the hole are "links" styled with prairie grass all along the fairways. A real challenge but the course is worth playing for the great conditions. Staff was very cooperative and the clubhouse is phenomenal. Had a great time.

Doesn't play as long as scorecard says. First 4 holes gets your attention. But after that, birdies can be made. All but one par 5's are reachable. It's a fun and fair course

This course is in great shape however I would only recommend it to better golfers due to design and wind.

Great layout. Must play some position golf to score well. Lots of water to play over and around. Greens were slow when we played. View layout of holes if this is your first time playing as you have a number of blind shots to make and may have to use a different club to get to the best position.
Overall a fun and challenging course with great value.

We played 18 here on a Monday afternoon and had a great time. The course is challenging and fun. There are plenty of opportunities to clean out the bag, sending a few balls into water hazards. The views are beautiful, the holes are unique, the condition of the course was excellent. If I lived here, I'd play it often.
Also, the pro shop and ranger staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant staff was attentive and prompt. Highly recommend. Really, this course is worth coming to.

first time played it and was awestruck by the challenges, even without the danger of water all about. it was well worth the drive from Frankfort Illinois to play it and I hope I can convince my playing partners to make this a must on our travels.

First time playing this course and it was as equally challenging as it was beautiful. Course was in excellent condition, except for too many ball marks on the greens (which I blame on the golfers more than the course management/employees). It was a extremely wet and rainy day, but had a wonderful time. The course was exceptionally challenging and tight, and gave ample opportunity for precision and creativity - not my strong suit, but great risk/reward opportunities and played fair. I would highly recommend

This course was awesome. The front nine is built around a ton of water providing challenging target-style golf (to play it safe you can leave the driver in the bag). The back nine has it's challenges but it has far less water and is a little more forgiving if you hit a bad tee shot. It is very well maintained with great fairway grass and quick greens. All in all this course was great for the value, not too crowded, played at our groups own pace, and I will definitely play there again.

Lost Marsh is a golf course that challenges your decision making. The course is in very good shape and has lots of water.

Played here on a Saturday at Noon. The drive from Chicago only took 30mins.

The course conditions were excellent from tee to green. The opening 6 holes are very difficult due to water harards and tight fairways. There is a real mix of wide open fairways and very narrow fairways.

The first 9 holes took 3 hours and the back 9 holes was 2 hrs 30min. So the only downside was a 5.5 hour round. The food and drinks are priced generously.
